Just like that we've officially made it to another year!

To celebrate 2 full years in business at the studio we're hosting our 3rd annual Thick Strength & Conditioning party!

Clients, friends & family, and members of the Forest Grove community please join us on Sunday May 17th for an Open House and Raffle.

TIME:
12-3pm
*All are welcomed to come and go as they please throughout the event*

LOCATION:
1837 Pacific Ave Unit #114
Forest Grove, OR 97116

FOOD:
A variety of snacks will be provided, however those who need something a bit more nutritionally dense are encouraged to bring their own or walk down to Growler Garage.

DRINKS:
Both alcoholic and nonalcoholic options will be available however everyone is encouraged to bring their preferred beverages of choice.
*No open alcohol containers will be allowed to enter or leave the premises*

RAFFLE:
In addition to our own services, we will be raffling off some awesome stuff generously donated by a handful of other great local businesses and supporters.
*This will take place at 2:30pm sharp and will officially close out the event at the studio*

Please let us know if you plan on attending and we hope to see you all there to ring in another year!

Join us and the rest of the awesome businesses in historic downtown Forest Grove for "Trick or Treat the Merchants" this Friday!

In addition to dressing up and handing out candy we'll be having the doors open to anyone who wants to talk training, pick up heavy things, or just hang out.

TIME:
4-7pm

DIRECTIONS:
Stop by Growler Garage for some great food and then continue west down Pacific Ave until you hear the music blasting and weights clanking (see slide 2 for the address).

For those who haven't met him yet we'd like to introduce our intern Mike!

Mike was born and raised as a Japanese-American in Portland, Oregon and spent significant time in Forest Grove during his time at Pacific University. In addition to his intern position, Mike currently works full time as a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) at a skilled nursing facility, and part time as a Certified Personal Trainer (CPT) at a community center. His goal is to immerse himself into the strength & conditioning field to enhance his current background in order to effectively train higher level athletes and develop his skillset to improve performance for his other clients with various goals.

Outside of work Mike competes in USTA adult tennis leagues, trains for breakdance performances, and enjoys craft beer to relax after a long week of work.

Mike will be with us for a total of 10 weeks and has already demonstrated tremendous initiative and work ethic. Come get to know him while he's here!

REQUIREMENTS:
MUST HOLD A CURRENT CERTIFICATION THROUGH AN ACCREDITED PROFESSIONAL EXERCISE ORGANIZATION
-OR-
BE A CURRENT FULL-TIME COLLEGE STUDENT IN EXERCISE SCIENCE/KINESIOLOGY, OR RELATED FIELDS.
-EXPERIENCE IS NOT REQUIRED BUT SIGNIFICANTLY PREFERRED.
MUST BE ABLE TO COMMIT TO 10 CONSECUTIVE WEEKS OF CONSISTENT PART-TIME INTERNING AT AN AGREED-UPON SCHEDULE.
-SCHEDULES WILL BE ACCOMMODATED FOR STUDENTS.
MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE CPR/FIRST AID CERTIFICATION.
MUST CONSENT TO A BACKGROUND CHECK PRIOR TO BEGINNING.
MUST HAVE A PASSION FOR LEARNING AND MOVEMENT, AND BE FULLY COMMITTED TO DOING BOTH THROUGHOUT THE ENTIRETY OF THE INTERNSHIP.
