This has been me for years.

Showing up for my patients. Running the business. Taking care of my family. Being the person people could count on.

And because I kept doing all of it, I kept telling myself I must be okay.

I didn’t know how to reconcile being so capable with feeling so exhausted. I could get through the day, but I wanted more than getting through it. I wanted energy left to enjoy the life I was working so hard to maintain.

It’s hard to admit you need support when everyone is used to you being the support.

But you don’t have to wait until you can’t function to take your exhaustion seriously. You’re allowed to ask for help while you’re still showing up.

Before you even get out of bed, you’re already at work in your head.

The message you need to answer.
The decision you haven’t made.
Everything you need to remember for everyone else.

You haven’t had a sip of coffee, and you already feel behind.

Lately, my idea of a rich life includes having a few minutes in the morning that belong to me. Enjoying my tea without mentally sorting the entire day. Letting myself wake up before I start responding to what everyone needs.

I still have responsibilities. I just want room to experience my life alongside them.

If you recognize yourself in this, download my free Nervous System Healing Guide through the link in my bio. It’s a place to begin making space for yourself, too. 💜

My dad died on July 4th.

Most of my patients had no idea.

I only missed work for the funeral. Then I came back and kept showing up for everyone. I took care of my patients, carried my responsibilities, and went on with my days.

I never really gave myself room to let it hit me.

There was always someone to care for. Something to handle. A reason to keep moving.

Looking back, being able to show up didn’t mean I was okay. It meant I knew how to keep going, even while I was hurting.

If you’re still sad about something other people think you should be over, you don’t have to defend that sadness. You’re allowed to miss someone. To have a hard day. To need support long after life around you has returned to normal.

I’m giving myself that permission, too. 💜

There’s a difference between everyone thinking you’re doing well and actually feeling well.

You can answer the emails, keep the appointments, take care of your people—and still sit in the driveway because you need a few minutes before anyone needs you again.

Being capable doesn’t mean you have unlimited capacity.

Maybe what you want now is to finish work without replaying the day all evening. To ask for help without apologizing. To answer “How are you?” without automatically saying “Fine.”

You’re allowed to make choices based on how your life feels to you, even when it already looks good to everyone else.

You wanted the career. The family. The life you worked so hard to build.

And now you feel guilty admitting how tired you are.

“I chose this.”
“I should be grateful.”
“Other people would love to have what I have.”

You can love your life and still need more support, fewer commitments, or an evening when nobody needs anything from you.

Choosing this life didn’t mean agreeing to carry every part of it alone forever.

You’re allowed to change how you live it. To finish work before you’ve given every ounce of yourself. To enjoy what you built while you still have energy left.

You don’t have to stay exhausted to prove you appreciate it. 🤍

Save this for the days gratitude starts sounding like a reason to ignore your needs.

The text comes in while you’re eating lunch.
Someone needs a decision.
You remember something you haven’t finished.

And suddenly, your quiet moment becomes another thing you give away.

When you’re used to being the dependable one, responding immediately can feel like part of being a good person.

But you can care and still finish your lunch.
You can be helpful and still let someone figure it out.
You can see a message and answer when you have the capacity.

Before jumping in, ask yourself:
“Does this need me right now—or am I uncomfortable letting it wait?”

Imagine ending the day with a little energy left because you didn’t spend all of it responding.

Save this for the next time you feel pulled to drop everything. 🤍

You don’t need to:

– wake up at 5am
– completely change your routine
– become a different person overnight

You need small, consistent shifts your body can actually handle.

That’s what creates real, lasting change.

This is where I would start:

1.Regulate your nervous system daily
(not just when you feel stressed)

2. Stabilize your blood sugar
→ your body can’t feel safe if it’s on a rollercoaster all day

3. Adjust your workouts to match your current capacity
→ not what you think you should be doing

4. Create actual recovery in your day
→ not just “collapse at night”

Most people are skipping these steps and jumping straight to doing more.

And it’s keeping them stuck.

I’ve been thinking about putting together something that walks you through this step-by-step…

Would that be something you’d want help with?

Most people trying to fix their energy are focusing on the wrong things.

They’re jumping straight to:
– workouts
– supplements
– routines

But skipping the foundation:
👉 nervous system regulation

That’s why they stay stuck.
