The Truth About Self-Care 🌿
By now, we’ve talked about what self-care is and how to build it into daily life.
But here’s the part we don’t talk about enough:
Self-care isn’t always comfortable.
Sometimes it looks like:
• having a difficult conversation 💬
• setting a boundary that feels hard 🚫
• asking for help when you’d rather not 🤝
• getting up and moving when you don’t feel like it 🚶♀️
• finally addressing something you’ve been avoiding 🧠
The most effective self-care doesn’t always feel good in the moment…
but it supports you in the long run.
It’s easy to choose what’s comfortable.
It’s harder—and more important—to choose what’s needed.
That’s the shift:
From quick relief → to real support
From avoidance → to intention
Because self-care isn’t just about feeling better right now—
it’s about functioning better over time.
