As those of you who have spent any time over at 540 Hawkeye Ave have come to know, we are a pretty tight knit bunch in our studio. Shelby’s fiancé Mitch was a big part of that, and he has tragically passed away, leaving a Mitch-sized hole in the world he occupied.
Mitch was the consistent good that filled the space; he had the biggest smile, the heartiest laugh, the silliest jokes. Shelby was the love of his life, we all knew that. He visited her on his lunch break every single day, and we always exchanged goodbyes before he walked out the door. I never knew I would come to miss such a small fraction my day-to-day, but I’m grateful to have gotten to say many goodbyes, even though I didn’t know this time it was really truly farewell.
Farewell, Mitchy. Rest easy, and guard the hearts of all who cherished you.
Please lend your prayers, love, and support to Shelby, Mitch’s family, and all his friends and family, as they try to navigate this world without him.
🦷 To my clients and all potential new clients- I am taking a hiatus from booking any new pieces at this time. I need to focus on the people around me, and I don’t have the current capacity to handle more than what is already in my schedule. Thank you for your patience.

☀️Happy Saturday! I’m going to be getting through DMs over the next couple of days, I’ve been on a long stretch of work so I haven’t had much time to get back to anyone.
‼️CLAIMED‼️I did have a couple last-minute openings come up for this upcoming Monday/Tuesday during the day, if you want to snag a slot dm me!! Otherwise, my schedule is essentially full through September, and I’m only booking select projects for October at this time. I’ll likely be closing my books again until the end of September, where I’ll be booking for November-January🙂. Thank you all for your patience and support!

Hello, I hope you all had a fantastic 4th of July!I’ve got some exciting news to share- I’ve begun to open up some evening slots for small/medium sized tattoos for July-September. I’ve had to turn away quite a few smaller pieces to wrap up some bigger projects, but I’ve been able to make some space on select evenings throughout the summer.
These slots are good for things like paw prints, script/lettering/handwriting, basic designs, fine-line, etc. All slots are during the week and start at 4:00om or later. Dm me to snag one!!
My regular schedule is full until October with select dates left over August/September. I’ve been getting through messages throughout the week, if you’re waiting for a response please shoot me another message 🫶

This week, I snagged some healed photos of a couple projects I wrapped up over the spring. Sleeves like these are a huge time commitment- I get tons of requests for large-scale work, but because of how long they can take to finish, I’m super picky about what projects I take on. I’m incredibly grateful to clients like Esther and Amber who give me creative freedom for their sleeves!!

Hello! I wanted to pop over here and put out a little life update:
As many of you already know, three weeks ago we brought home a new crew member! Atlas is a Great Dane who was surrendered to Almost Home, and we feel so fortunate to have had the opportunity to adopt him. Atlas has proven to be the perfect match for the dynamic of our pack, though integrating a new pet is inherently time-consuming. We look forward to deepening our bond with him, even though we already love him so much!
Aside from that, Nick and I are officially less than five months out from our wedding day! Since we are doing all our planning ourselves, this has consumed much of my remaining spare time. As such, I’ve been a little slower to get people booked; it’s a lot to balance!

I once again appreciate everyone’s patience and respect for my time. While our life is full of blessings, we have overcome an incredibly difficult year. Nick and I both left our established jobs in pursuit of something new. We said goodbye to our Ember girl last August, and unexpectedly lost Mr. Groot, my best friend, in March. We are still incredibly grateful for the life we have today, but none of this has been easy on us. Some days we thrive- some days we just do what we can to get by.

Lastly- June marks one year since I moved into 540 Hawkeye Ave, which has been the best decision of my career so far. Getting our space established has been a labor of love, and while it’s had its ups and downs, I’m so happy with what we have built- a beautiful space I share with a couple hard-working baddies, who respect me as much as I do them. None of this would have been possible without the unconditional support I receive from all of you. As an ADHDer with a perfectionism complex, tattooing has given me crazy highs and lows. I take what I do SO seriously, and I strive to be my best always, for you. To produce the best tattoos for you all to wear proudly. Thank you for all you give me on the backend, as none of this would be possible without the community I have behind me 🖤
