Knee locking, catching, and even falling can sometimes be caused by a loose body inside the knee joint.
This patient came in after experiencing repeated episodes of the knee locking and giving out. After evaluation, we identified a loose body inside the knee that was causing mechanical symptoms and affecting daily function.
The patient did not want to go to the operating room or undergo general anesthesia, so we performed a minimally invasive in-office loose body removal using local anesthesia.
The loose body was successfully removed, and the patient was able to walk out of the office immediately after the procedure.
This is a great example of how select orthopedic conditions can be treated safely and effectively in the office with the right technique, technology, and patient selection.
Patient consent was obtained before filming and posting.
