A lot of survivors think recovery is supposed to look like “getting back to normal.”

But for many women, it actually looks like:

🤍 relearning how to nourish themselves
🤍 rebuilding trust with their body
🤍 grieving how much changed
🤍 managing exhaustion no one else can see
🤍 trying to feel safe in their body again

And honestly?
Sometimes the smallest things help the most.

One balanced meal.
One supportive conversation.
One easier day.
One tiny habit repeated consistently over time.

You do not have to heal perfectly to be healing.

If you’d like support from women who truly understand this season of life, comment SUPPORT to join the waitlist for our summer program.

I used to think being strong meant pushing through everything.

Performing.
Achieving.
Taking care of everyone else.
Holding it all together.

But somewhere along the way…
after cancer,
burnout,
stress,
rebuilding,
and learning my body was asking for something different…

my definition of what matters changed.

Now I care more about peace than proving.

More about alignment than hustle.

More about nourishment than control.

More about meaningful work than constant productivity.

I don’t want a life that looks successful but feels exhausting to live.

I want work that matters.
Relationships that feel safe.
Health that feels sustainable.
And enough presence to actually experience my life while I’m living it.

I think that’s what healing has really been for me.

Not becoming who I was before…

but becoming someone that found more space for joy ❤️

know I’m not the only woman rebuilding her life differently after hard things.

What matters most to you now that didn’t matter before?

You can be 1, 2… even 10 years out from cancer
…and still feel like your body just isn’t the same.

No appetite during the day.
Too tired to even think about food.
Craving sugar at night.
Energy crashing no matter what you eat.

So you start wondering…
“why can’t my body hold energy like it used to?”

This is the part no one explains.

It’s not that your body is broken.
It’s that it’s not getting what it needs consistently to actually support your energy.

And guessing your way through it only keeps you stuck.

If this is you… you don’t have to keep figuring it out alone! Comment SUPPORT and I’ll add you to the waitlist for our summer program where we rebuild this step by step.

One of the hardest parts about nutrition after cancer?

Trying to figure out who and what to believe.

One person says avoid dairy.
Another says never eat sugar.
Someone else says don’t take supplements.
Then social media turns nuanced conversations into fear-based food rules.

The truth is: nutrition after cancer is rarely one-size-fits-all.

Your diagnosis, treatment, medications, labs, symptoms, overall diet, and quality of life all matter. That’s why individualized support is so important.

I don’t want survivors living terrified of food. I want women to feel nourished, supported, informed, and empowered again 💪

Have you ever gotten conflicting nutrition advice after cancer?

05/22/2026

“Dairy feeds hormone-positive breast cancer.”

Scroll long enough and you’ll see that headline.

Here’s the thing: fear travels faster than nuance.

—Current evidence doesn’t say every survivor must ban cheese, milk, or yogurt.
—Context matters: cancer type, medications, labs, dose, and overall dietary pattern.
—Stressing over every bite can be just as harmful as any single food.

Some women still choose to limit dairy, and that’s valid.
But survivors deserve support, not fear-based food rules.

What food have you felt nervous to eat since your diagnosis or treatment? Let’s talk about it.

05/21/2026

POV: You finished cancer treatment… but you still wake up exhausted before the day even starts.

And everyone around you thinks you should be “back to normal” by now.

Today I had conversation after conversation with women telling me:
“I push through on my own.”
“I wake up tired every day.”
“My labs are normal but something still feels wrong.”
“I don’t even know what I need anymore.”
“I feel guilty resting.”
“I’ve never allowed myself to disconnect.”

And honestly? This is the part nobody prepares survivors for.

Because survivorship is not just about being alive.
It’s about learning how to live in a body and nervous system that went through war.

A lot of women are stuck in survival mode for YEARS:
🤍 exhausted from the moment they wake up
🤍 terrified to eat the “wrong” thing
🤍 trying to cut carbs while under-fueling
🤍 dealing with brain fog, blood sugar swings, low ferritin, inflammation, poor sleep, muscle loss
🤍 feeling guilty for needing rest
🤍 trying to take care of everyone else while having nothing left in their own tank

And then they blame themselves for not “bouncing back.”

But exhaustion after cancer is not laziness.
It’s not weakness.
And “normal labs” do not always mean your body feels safe, nourished, supported, or fully recovered.

That’s the work I care deeply about helping women rebuild. 🤍 Comment SUPPORT and I will personally reach out

After cancer, eating isn’t always simple.

You can have:
– no appetite
– mouth sores
– food tasting “off”
– and still feel exhausted no matter what you do

…and somehow still feel like you’re supposed to be eating “perfectly.”

So you try to push through.
Force meals.
Follow all the “rules.”

And it just makes everything harder.

Here’s what I want you to know:

➡️ This is a normal response to cancer treatment
➡️ Your body isn’t failing you
➡️ And perfect eating is NOT the goal right now

When your body is dealing with cancer, treatment, and recovery…
it needs support, not pressure.

That might look like:
simple foods
small portions
repeating what works
and letting go of the idea that every meal has to be “balanced” or “perfect”

Because right now, the goal is:
get something in, support your energy, and meet your body where it is.

If this is you, you’re not alone 🤍

Nobody talks enough about THIS part after cancer treatment:

➡️ the exhaustion
➡️ the loss of appetite
➡️ the food aversions
➡️ the guilt around eating “wrong”
➡️ the cycle of skipping meals because nothing sounds good… and then having even LESS energy

So many survivors tell me:
“I’m living off toast.”
“Pasta is all I can tolerate.”
“I know I should eat better but I just can’t.”

And honestly? Sometimes survival nutrition is simply:
“Can I get SOMETHING in consistently?”

That’s where recovery starts.

Not with perfection.
Not with food fear.
Not with forcing yourself to eat like a wellness influencer.

Inside Nourished After Cancer, we help women rebuild energy, nourishment, trust with their body, and realistic eating habits after treatment —without shame, restriction, or all-or-nothing pressure. ❤️

Our next group opens in July.

After cancer, you’re told nutrition matters…
so you try to do everything “right.”

Cut sugar.
Avoid dairy.
Eat clean.
Follow all the rules.

And yet…
you’re still exhausted.
you have no appetite.
food feels confusing.
your body just feels… off.

That’s the part no one explains.

Because it’s not just about what you remove.

If you’re cutting foods but not actually supporting your body in a way it can tolerate and stay consistent with…
you’ll still feel stuck.

➡️ Low energy
➡️ Inconsistent eating
➡️ Cravings later in the day
➡️ Feeling like nothing is working

This doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.
It means something is missing.

After cancer, your body needs:
simple, doable nutrition
consistent fuel
and support that actually fits your day-to-day life

Not more rules.
Not more restriction.

If this sounds like you, you’re not alone 🤍
