I got the pleasure to gift my Aunt Gail with her quilt today on her birthday. ❤️ She said when she saw me making it that it reminded her of Hawaii so of course I had to gift it to her. 🌺 I don’t remember the fabric line but this is one of the summer samplers I made a few years ago and I love how it turned out. Enjoy it Auntie Gail. Love you lots and Happy Birthday today and Happy Mother’s Day tomorrow. 💛

Pieced & binded by me and Quilted by my Mom Odella. The pattern is the 2016 Summer Sampler and the fabric line is called SummerFest by Moda designed by April Rosenthal.

Yesterday I got to gift my latest quilt to my niece Taylor and her hubby Phoenix for Baby Wooldridge. 💙 Congratulations again; it was so much fun seeing everyone and celebrating your sweet baby boy. ❤️

Pattern is Campfire by Suzy Quilts.
Fabric is Moda solids & Marvel Fleece.

Block 2: Around the Corner for the done!! I wanted to bring in some more solids for this block. I love it. 🩵🩶🤍 Now I’m off to cut out block 3✂️

Block 1: Bloom & Grow for the done!! It’s a little wonky but I haven’t sewn a thing since the summer of 2021. I’m using a curated bundle from Walmart since I’m traveling with Hubby. I’m loving the Aqua, Grey & White color palette. 🩵🩶🤍 Now I’m off to cut out block 2✂️

I have a TON of unpacking, organizing and decorating to do but thanks to my loving hubby I am so close to having my Kismet Prairie studio back. We’ve spent the last three weekends cleaning out this room. It was the room that everything got put during our move in June that didn’t have a spot. Hot mess is understatement of the year. Then I used IKEA’s design tool and planned out every square inch. Then the following weekend we shopped and once we got home. We got three pieces done. Then this weekend we finished up the last three pieces and I spent the rest of the day unpacking while he visited with a friend and relaxed. We had so much fun assembling all the pieces. Lots of laughs and teasing. We make a great team!! I love you LJ ❤️ Thank You for helping me get one step closer to getting crafty. 🧵✂️🎉 Thank You IKEA for great furniture at affordable prices. I love the gray-turquoise option.
