Adult Enrichment Centers We engage adults of all abilities in community programs that promote inclusion and independence. Adults ages 18 and up are welcome.

Adult Enrichment Centers has a rich history of providing adult day services in York County, SC since 1985. The service is individualized to enrich each participant through activity choices, socialization, health and wellness, as well as friendship. Adult Enrichment Centers operates in three convenient locations in South Carolina - Rock Hill, Fort Mill, and York. The per-day fee is a cost effective alternative to other forms of long-term care. October is National Disability Employment Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating the skills, talents, and opportunities that help adults of all abilities thrive in the workforce!

From culinary training and creative microenterprises to competitive wages and financial independence, there are many pathways to meaningful employment.

At AEC, we’re excited to continue building opportunities that recognize individual strengths, develop real-world skills, and open doors to greater independence.

Exciting things are happening at our new School of the Arts, and we’re searching for a Culinary Arts Instructor to help bring our new culinary program to life!

We’re looking for someone who loves sharing their culinary knowledge, enjoys teaching, and believes in creating opportunities for people of all abilities to learn and succeed.

This instructor will play an important role in helping neurodiverse adults develop hands-on culinary skills, build confidence, strengthen workplace readiness, and prepare for opportunities in the culinary industry.

We’re choosing to put our focus where it matters most: the people, programs, and possibilities at the heart of AEC. 💙

After thoughtful consideration, we’ve decided not to move forward with AEC Live on October 15. With so much happening across AEC, including the completion of our new School of the Arts, we believe this is the right time to be intentional about the stewardship of our resources, our team, and the work entrusted to us.

The celebration isn’t going away. We’re simply saving it for a moment when we can welcome you in and celebrate what we’ve accomplished together.

In the meantime, we hope you’ll continue investing in the work. Every gift helps us create opportunities for adults of all ages and abilities to live their best lives.

Our members recently spent some time horseback riding, enjoying another opportunity to get outside, try something different, and simply have a good time together.

At AEC, we believe living your best life includes opportunities to explore, experience, connect, and have fun. From the arts and wellness to community outings and days like this one, we’re always creating new ways for our members to stay active and engaged.
