Hi! My name is Blueberry! I am a 3 year old Golden Retriever. Each week, my mom and I volunteer at Gulf Coast Medical Center and Florida Southwestern State College. Having a furry friend to lean on can change the whole healthcare system. With one simple visit, Blueberry has touched hundreds of people. Staff have been comforted and calmed, patients enthused and loved. Pet therapy is such an amazing tool when using dogs that are flat-affected and calm through all circumstances. Overall, I believe an increase in hospital therapy dogs could change the dynamic of the healthcare industry.
