Want to come off your GLP-1 successfully?

Focus on these 3 things:
✔ Achieve metabolic health
✔ Maintain healthy habits
✔ Give your body time to adapt

The medication may help you lose the weight, but long-term success comes from building muscle, improving metabolic health, and creating habits you can sustain.

The goal isn't just weight loss. It's maintaining your results for years to come.

We live in a world of endless health tips, quick fixes, and viral advice.

The problem? Not everything you see online is accurate.

As patients, we all have a responsibility to ask questions, look for credible sources, and understand whether the information we're consuming is actually supported by science.

A catchy post may get clicks, but it doesn't always lead to better health.

Before changing medications, trying a new supplement, or following the latest health trend, make sure you're getting information from trusted medical professionals and evidence-based sources.

Being informed is important. Being educated is even better.

Think you have a UTI?

Before taking leftover antibiotics, make sure you know what you're treating.

Not every urinary symptom is a UTI, and a urine culture can help identify the real cause.

The goal is prevention, not just treatment.

Probiotics aren't just for gut health.

Research suggests that maintaining a healthy bacterial balance may help reduce the risk of recurrent UTIs, especially when combined with vaginal estrogen and proper hydration.

Interestingly, studies have found that oral probiotics may be even more effective when paired with vaginal probiotics.

The takeaway? Supporting your body's natural microbiome may be an important part of your UTI prevention plan.

Recurrent UTIs? A comprehensive prevention plan may help.

One option I often recommend is Uqora, which combines probiotics, D-mannose, and cranberry-derived PACs into one system. Many patients also find the Flush product helpful when they feel symptoms starting.

While it doesn't replace vaginal estrogen, it can be a valuable part of a non-antibiotic prevention strategy.

Think cranberry juice prevents UTIs? Not exactly.

While cranberry products may help prevent E. coli from sticking to the urinary tract, cranberry juice alone likely doesn't provide enough of the active ingredient (PACs) to make a significant difference.
D-mannose is another popular option. Some women swear by it, but the research remains mixed.

The bottom line: these supplements may be helpful tools for some women, but they're not a guaranteed fix for recurrent UTIs.

One of the biggest mistakes women make with recurrent UTIs? Treating the infection over and over again without focusing on prevention.

One of the most common mistakes Dr. Carolyn Langford sees in women with recurrent UTIs? Not drinking enough water.

Hydration plays a major role in helping flush bacteria from the urinary tract, especially during menopause when bladder symptoms can change.

She also explains why not every symptom automatically means you have a UTI and why confirming symptoms with a urine culture matters.
