Starting solids is something that can feel overwhelming, and it’s one of the most common questions I get from parents.

Baby led weaning doesn’t have to be complicated. When your baby is developmentally ready (around 5 to 6 months), the focus is on exploration, skill-building, and safe exposure to a variety of foods.

Breastmilk or formula remains the primary source of nutrition, while solids help support development, including important nutrients like iron.

If you’re feeling unsure, you’re not alone! This is a new phase, and it’s okay to take it one step at a time.
