Ours was built on a purpose.

Today, we’re remembering our founder, Kirk Tcherneshoff, whose passion for accessibility changed countless lives and helped shape the foundation of Tcherneshoff Consulting, Inc.

After becoming a wheelchair user following a car accident, Kirk dedicated his life to removing barriers and creating opportunities for people with disabilities. His work took him across the country, helping businesses, schools, municipalities, and organizations understand that accessibility is about more than compliance—it’s about people.

This photo captures more than a moment. It represents the passing of knowledge from one generation to the next.

Blake Watts and Laurie Frazier had the privilege of learning directly from Kirk—not only the technical aspects of ADA consulting, but also the compassion, integrity, and practical problem-solving that defined his work. Those lessons continue to guide every accessibility survey, plan review, and recommendation we provide today.

As we look back, we’re grateful for the legacy Kirk built and honored to carry it forward.
