Our residents LOVE nature, so we definitely had to try this bird feeder recipe!

The residents made the bird feeders and then were able to choose where they wanted to put them outside! We’ve been observing the birds ever since we made them! 🕊️

Observing Mother Nature is such a wonderful way for us to smile! 🌞

What a fun week we’ve had at KRI! Our residents were able to tie-dye shirts to their liking, and then participate in a 5K!

Needless to say, Bubble Run/Walk 5K was a major hit with the kids!! 🫧

Thank you to all of our staff that stepped up to help make this happen!

We had the pleasure of hearing Wesley DeHaven’s story this week and it was very impactful. He talked about doing “hard things” instead of choosing “easy things” and how your life can turn around and change into something so much more gratifying and rewarding. He talked about choosing happiness and gratitude over other less appealing things in life, and also being true to who you are.

Our residents listened intently and truly soaked in all the advice!

One of our therapist’s asked her neighborhood if anyone had any stuffed animals they wanted to donate to our KRI kids. Boy did they show up! What an amazing community we live in❤️ A special thank you to Brenda and housekeeping for washing them all.

Bourbon County Fair 2026

Our residents were able to attend our local fair today and experience some things for the very first time!

They attended the Dairy Goats Show, walked around and saw all the animals, milked a cow (if they wanted to) and tried Goat Milk Ice Cream! Yum! 🍦

We want to give a special thank you to Cindy Hereford and Sue Reinecke for coordinating this experience for us, preparing the ice cream, and helping to milk the cow! 🐄

What a fun trip over to the fair grounds! Our residents got to meet “Tuffy” and discuss the ins and outs of rodeo life!
