Anshin (安心) A Japanese word meaning peace of mind, reassurance, and the feeling of safety or ease.

Sometimes what we need most is not an answer or a solution to a problem. Often, what we need most is simply to embrace the feeling we get when we can soften our shoulders, quiet the noise, and know we are safe enough to just be.

That sense of emotional safety can matter in our relationships, in our homes, and within ourselves.

Anshin reminds us that peace of mind is something worth making space for.

So...how are you really feeling today?

Some days are amazing. Some are just okay. And some days, just making it through the day is enough.

Taking a moment to check in with yourself can help you notice what you may need, whether that’s rest, support, or connection. Sometimes you will realize that you need to show yourself a little more kindness and TLC.

And while you’re checking in, think of someone you care about. Reaching out to a friend or loved one with a simple “How are you doing?” can mean more than we realize.

Where are you on today’s check-in scale? Drop your answer in the comments.

Yorisou (寄り添う) is a Japanese word that expresses the idea of meeting someone where they are with care and understanding, offering understanding and support along the way.

Sometimes care looks less like finding the right words and more like being willing to listen. There is peace in simply knowing someone is willing to walk beside you.

Ukiyo (浮世) is a Japanese word often associated with embracing the present moment and finding beauty in life's changing seasons.

We can't always change what's happening around us, but we can choose how gently we meet the present moment.

Growth can begin with one mindful breath, one small step, and one moment at a time.

🤍 Kizuna Counseling is here to support you on your journey.

To an adult, it might look like play. To a child, it can be an easier way to communicate.

Children don't always know the words to explain what they're feeling or experiencing. Play therapy gives them another way to express themselves in a setting that feels natural and often, pretty fun!

Through play, children get to explore emotions, work through experiences, practice problem-solving, and can develop new ways of coping.

For children who don’t yet have the words, play can offer another way to be heard.

Ever feel more overwhelmed just looking around your space?

Clutter can be more than something we see. When our brains are already managing stress, a busy schedule, burnout, ADHD, or simply a lot of mental demands, more visual input can feel like one more thing competing for our attention.

And a cluttered space isn't a personal failure. Sometimes it's a reflection of just how much you're already carrying.

If tackling it feels overwhelming, start small. Choose one area and try the 20/10 method: 20 minutes of focused effort followed by a 10-minute break.

You don't have to do everything at once to make your space feel a little lighter.

Swipe through for a few simple ways to get started.

Save this one for a day when your space and your mind are both feeling a little too full.

Understanding neurodivergence starts with understanding its many forms.

Neurodivergence is a term used to describe differences in how people think, learn, process information, or communicate. It’s kind of like an umbrella that can cover things like autism, ADHD, learning differences, movement and coordination differences, and neurological conditions.

Autism and ADHD are forms that we hear about most often, but they aren’t the only conditions commonly discussed as forms of neurodivergence.

Take a look at the infographic for a few examples.

Neurodivergent is an umbrella term, not a diagnosis. How the term is used can vary, and this is not a complete list.

Understanding these differences can help us move away from assumptions and toward creating spaces where different ways of thinking and learning are better valued and supported.

Behind this door is a space made for you to simply be.

No need to have the perfect words. No expectation that you have everything figured out.

Just a comfortable, private place to talk about what’s happening, understand what you’re feeling, and explore what you need next.

You can come with questions, uncertainty, a lot to say, or no idea where to start.
Sometimes having the space to talk can make all the difference.

You can start exactly where you are.

Stress looks different for everyone, and so does self-care.

There isn’t one “right” way to recharge. What helps one person may not help another, and that’s okay!
