Clear Lake will definitely be one of the most memorable races of the season! Rain, thunder, wind, and sunshine couldn't stop these athletes today.

We had a great team out there providing medical coverage and watching over everyone throughout the event.

A big shoutout to our friends at the Steuben County Sheriff's Office and the Clear Lake Marshals for their assistance with traffic control. Your support helped make this event a success.

Thank you to all the athletes, volunteers, and public safety personnel who helped make it a great day!

We love providing medical coverage for triathlons and multi-sport events, but the water segment is by far the most dangerous and unforgiving portion of these races.

With that in mind, we recently invested in our event medical program by purchasing an inflatable rescue boat.

This addition will allow our team to provide faster access to patients, deliver care closer to the point of injury, and further reduce the risk of a tragic outcome.

Our goal is simple: every participant goes home safely at the end of the event.

We look forward to seeing everyone at Clear Lake next Saturday!

Pewpew training is extremely important — but do you train for pewpew and medical-related emergencies?

Don’t fall victim to poor training habits or unrealistic scenarios. The best operators, responders, and protectors know how to fight and provide care when seconds matter.

Train for the threat.
Train for the aftermath.
Train hard. Train smart.

Because being prepared means more than pulling a trigger — it means being ready to save a life too.

At Med Training & Consulting – MED Sports LLC, today we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in service to our nation.

Their courage, dedication, and selflessness will never be forgotten. Because of them, we continue to serve our communities with purpose—training responders, strengthening preparedness, and standing ready when we’re needed most.

To the fallen heroes and the families who carry their legacy: we honor you today and always.

The 2026 TCCC updates continue to reinforce the basics that save lives — aggressive hemorrhage control, smarter airway management, early blood product use, and continuous reassessment.

Key changes include: • Recovery position as first-line airway management • Tourniquets directly to skin with earlier reassessment/conversion • TXA simplified to a 2g slow IV/IO push • Increased focus on prolonged casualty care and TBI management

Training, repetition, and good medicine still matter most. Stay current. Stay ready.
