Have you noticed a parent, grandparent, or loved one becoming more withdrawn during conversations? Maybe they seem frustrated or irritable more often than they used to.

Families sometimes assume these changes are simply part of aging or a cognitive issue. But hearing loss can sometimes play a role.

When someone struggles to understand what’s being said, conversations can become exhausting and frustrating. They may withdraw because it's easier than constantly trying to keep up.

And sometimes, something as simple as raising your voice can be misunderstood. While you're speaking louder because you want to be heard, your loved one may interpret your tone or facial expression as anger or frustration toward them.

What looks like disinterest, frustration, or irritability may sometimes be someone struggling to hear and understand.

We're here to educate our communities about hearing loss and the health risks that come with it.

Welcome to Hearing Aids Plus+!

You've gotten to know our name, now we'd love for you to get to know our team!

Starting on the left, we've got our Founder and Owner, Steve! Steve founded Hearing Aids Plus in 2016 and has been in the hearing industry since 1990, bringing more than three decades of experience. What makes Steve's story unique is that he's not only a hearing healthcare professional, he's also worn hearing aids himself since 1990. He understands firsthand how better hearing can improve communication, strengthen relationships, and bring you back into the moments that matter most. Steve's goal has always been simple: to provide personalized hearing care while treating every patient like family.

Moving on down the line, we have April! April facilitates our Kendallville location, serving the community and surrounding areas with all hearing care needs. April brings her unique, spunky personality each and everyday, creating a fun atmosphere for our patients. She takes the time to truly make each and every patient feel a part of the Hearing Aids Plus family.

Next, is Brenda! Brenda is the glue to all things Hearing Aids Plus. She is our front desk administrator at our Fort Wayne location, which is the hub for all incoming phone calls. She also manages scheduling, and all HR duties. If you've ever visited our Fort Wayne location, chances are you've had the pleasure of experiencing Brenda's warm, inviting smile, with the lingering smell of her freshly baked cinnamon rolls.

As we continue down the line, we have Brook! Brook helps facilitate our Fort Wayne location aiding in patient care, scheduling, media, and other various tasks. Due to Brook witnessing her grandmother suffer from dementia stemming from hearing loss, her heart and passion is with our patients to prevent the unexpected, before it's too late. She values the connections she makes with each of our patients, striving to create a seamless experience for all who enter Hearing Aids Plus.

Last but very not least, let's welcome Keegan! Keegan facilitates our Auburn and Fort Wayne locations, while supporting all of our staff. He is very intelligent and highly qualified in the hearing industry, as he studied Audio Engineering at Full Sail University in the state of FL. Keegan has already made a positive impact on us, and every patient he has encountered thus far, and will continue to do so. He educates patients throughout their process with us, by sharing his knowledge and compassion.

From all of us at Hearing Aids Plus, thank you Fort Wayne and all surrounding areas for trusting us with your hearing healthcare needs! Deep inside your cochlea are thousands of tiny sensory cells that help detect different frequencies and convert sound into electrical signals that travel to the brain.

With sensorineural hearing loss, these delicate sensory cells can become damaged over time. When this happens, certain sounds and frequencies may no longer reach the brain the way they once did.
