A champion in the arena and the kind of person you’re proud to have on your team.🙌
Congratulations to athlete Jd Struxness on qualifying for the 2026 NFR! Proud to have J.D. representing Equitide, and we can’t wait to cheer him on in Vegas!

WHAT SEPARATES A WORLD CHAMPION FROM EVERYBODY ELSE?
Maybe sometimes it's simply this: What do you do after everything goes wrong?
Minnesota steer wrestler J.D. Struxness knows something about that. He was already one of rodeo's best long before he ever wore a gold buckle. A former football player and accomplished wrestler, Struxness became a College National Champion and started making trips to the NFR. But becoming one of the best and becoming THE best aren't quite the same thing.
Then came the 2024 National Finals Rodeo. Struxness arrived in Las Vegas with a legitimate chance to win his first World Championship. And in Round One...he missed his steer. No time.
For some competitors, that might have been the moment the dream began slipping away. Struxness responded by placing in eight of the next nine rounds.
Ten nights after everything started about as badly as it possibly could, J.D. Struxness walked out of the Thomas & Mack Arena as the World Champion Steer Wrestler.
And now? He is sitting among the world's Top 10 and once again going to the NFR.
Maybe that's the thing worth remembering about champions. It's easy to admire what they do when everything goes right. But sometimes we learn considerably more about them by watching what they do immediately after everything goes wrong.
