A great activity for your 3-5 month old🙌🏻

1.) Face to face engagement is great for prompting speech and cognitive development

2.) 90/90 sitting facilitates trunk extension for strengthening sitting posture

3.) For trunk or neck weakness/asymmetry with Torticollis you can work on righting reactions with lateral tilting. Also stabilizes the upper trunk with active rotation of the neck to increase range of motion.

4) Gives great proprioceptive and vestibular sensory input to facilitate motor responses

5) Gradually lower support with your hands as they gain upper trunk stability

6) Save your back while kneeling using the edge of the couch or bed to sit your baby on

Home exercise programs don’t need to be overwhelming or difficult!

There are so many reasons why I would try Theratogs as an extra pair of strategic “hands” during my sessions!

Alignment in postural muscles is so important to facilitate the right muscles to strengthen with our various exercises and modalities we may use.

Theratogs has so many options with straps to assist the right muscles while giving compression and sensory input which is so helpful with hypotonia.

It’s a no brainer to try them! Check out Progressive GaitWays

Did you know most cases of torticollis develop within the first few weeks of life — often from positioning in the womb or a preference for turning one way?

Left untreated, it can affect head shape, motor development, and even feeding.

The good news: early intervention makes a huge difference.

I put together a torticollis handout with signs to watch for & exercises to consider— link in bio.

Day 21!

07/01/2026

Every child I treat moves at their own pace — and that’s not something to fix, it’s something to honor. When we stop measuring our kids against someone else’s timeline, we make room to actually see them.

Can’t believe we are at day 20 of this series! I’m having fun. Are you?
