This week’s question: Why is 24/7 hospice support so valuable?
Illness doesn’t follow a 9-to-5 schedule—and neither should support. Questions, concerns, and changes can happen at any time, which is why having access to a hospice team around the clock can make such a difference for patients and their families.

✨ Another busy week at Valor Hospice! ✨

From supporting important causes to sharing meals, sweet treats, and plenty of smiles, our teams had another great week connecting with the communities we serve! 💜

🧠 We helped support the Healthy Lives Matter Alzheimer’s Education Seminar, connecting with attendees and helping raise awareness and education surrounding Alzheimer’s.

☕ We sponsored breakfast for Coffee Connections at Legacy Oaks of Azle and celebrated the winner of our Valor gift basket from the Healthy Lives Matter event!

💜 We supported the Alzheimer’s Association with a prize basket for Bingo Night.

🍽️ Our team provided lunch for case managers at Methodist Richardson, lunch at Highland Woods Health in The Woodlands, lunch for Lake Lodge, and breakfast for the HCA Kingwood Case Management Department.

📚 We joined in on a Back-to-School event at Ridgewood, helping celebrate and connect with our community.

🥤 We brought a little extra fun to Cedar Hollow in Sherman with a Dirty Soda Bar!

🎂 We helped celebrate birthdays at Springtown Park with a special birthday cake.

🍨 Residents at Westpark enjoyed an ice cream sundae bar with all the toppings and plenty of sweet treats!

🍌 We celebrated National Banana Split Day with the residents at Hilltop, serving up banana splits and spending some quality time together.

🎶 And we had a little Dolly Day fun at Encore!

Whether we’re supporting healthcare professionals, partnering with community organizations, celebrating residents, or simply sharing a meal or sweet treat, we’re grateful for every opportunity to build relationships and make someone’s day a little brighter. 💜✨

Another great week of connecting, giving back, and creating meaningful moments in the communities we serve! 💜✨
This week, the Valor Hospice team stayed busy across DFW and Houston. Here are just a few events from last week:
💄 Helping with hair and makeup for Glamour Shots, delivering appreciation baskets to Truewood, and wrapping up the day providing hospice education to the team at Benevolent Hearts Home Care.
☀️ We were proud to sponsor a Senior Day celebration at Focused Care in Humble, bringing some summer cheer and helping make the day extra special for residents.
💜 Our team sponsored a Bingo Fundraiser at The Landing at Augusta Woods, supporting the Alzheimer’s Association while enjoying a fun afternoon for a great cause.
💅 In Dallas, we spent time with residents at Avir, treating them to a fun nail day filled with pampering, conversation, and plenty of smiles.
🥨 We also brought a little something tasty to the week with a Valor Hospice Trail Mix Bar, where everyone could pick, scoop, mix, and enjoy their own custom snack creation!
From resident activities and community events to supporting healthcare professionals and important causes, we’re grateful for every opportunity to show up, build relationships, and bring a little extra joy to the communities we serve.

This week, we’re proud to spotlight Joe Hernandez, one of our incredible chaplains serving our Dallas team!💜
For the past 8 years, Joe has served as a chaplain and bereavement coordinator, providing spiritual and emotional support to patients and families during some of life’s most meaningful moments. He especially values the relationships he builds and the opportunity to connect with people from many different backgrounds and cultures.
We’re so grateful for the compassion, encouragement, and heart Joe brings to every patient, family, and team member he serves. Thank you for all you do, Joe! ✨
