Please join us in congratulating our Member of the Month, Eric Rocks!

What stands out most is Eric’s commitment to growth not only in their fitness journey but also in supporting those around them. His attitude, consistency, and willingness to embrace every challenge makes him a deserving choice for this month’s recognition.

We’re proud to have Eric as part of our gym family and can’t wait to see what he accomplishes next.

How long have you been at 817?
1 1/2 years as a member.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?
Pretty much all Olympic lifts I enjoy doing.

What class can we find you at?
Typically you’ll catch me at the 4pm class.

Why Crossfit817?
I enjoy crossfit 817 because of the staff, and the members here. Everyone is genuine, passionate, and intentional about there time spent here.
I appreciate the accountability, and reliability of both staff and members. Doing the thing’s that are hard because they are not easy. Most favorite is we all enjoy suffering together to better ourselves.

Why Wednesday – 5AM Edition 🌅💪

The alarm hits different at 4:15am.
The bed is warm. The world is quiet. Nobody would blame you for sleeping in.

But you showed up anyway.

That’s your why.

Not because it’s easy.
Not because motivation magically appears before sunrise.
Because discipline builds confidence. Because hard things make stronger humans. Because the version of you you’re chasing is awake before excuses are.

So if you made it to the whiteboard this morning — tired, sore, stressed, or half awake remember this:

🚨 Pull-Up Seminar at CrossFit 817 🚨

Saturday, May 16th after the morning class, we’ll get started around 10:30 AM following the 9:30 class!

Coach Jon will be leading a Pull-Up Seminar to help you improve every aspect of your pull-up game 💪

Whether you’re:
• Working toward your first strict pull-up
• Trying to string kipping pull-ups together
• Learning butterfly pull-ups
• Wanting to better understand hollow body positioning and the mechanics of the kip

…this seminar is for you.

We’ll break the pull-up down into smaller sections and drills so you can better understand the movement and leave with practical tools to improve your efficiency and consistency.

🌟Member of the Month 🌟 Jas Randhawa

What makes Jas stand out isn’t just the hard work in the gym it’s the positivity, consistency, and encouragement she brings to everyone around her!!

How long have you been at 817?
I joined 817 in January 2025.

What is your favorite CrossFit movement?
My favorites are squats and deadlifts, and I’m working towards an unassisted pull-up and improving my Olympic lifts like snatches and cleans.

What class can we find you at?
I normally switch between 6am and 5pm classes depending on how my work week is.

Why Crossfit817?
I love the entire 817 community, everyone is always so nice, supportive, and encouraging. The coaches are very friendly and extremely knowledgeable. I love that members and coaches support your goals and help you become a better athlete every day.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to everyone who made this event unforgettable from our amazing volunteers who kept everything running smoothly, the spectators who brought the energy all day long, the athletes who showed up and gave it their all, and the fellow gyms who came out to support and compete.

This is what community is all about 🙌

We’re proud, we’re grateful, and we’re already excited for the next one. Until then keep working, keep pushing, and keep showing up.

Some days every rep feels heavier than it should.

Today isn’t about being the strongest in the room it’s about showing up when it would be easier not to.

Because the hard days?
They’re the ones that build discipline.
They’re the ones that separate “I’ll try” from “I will.”

You don’t need a perfect workout.
You just need to start and refuse to quit.

One rep at a time. One breath at a time.
That’s how progress is made.
