I have consistently experienced a positive impact from yoga on my physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Since beginning my practice at 40, I have noticed substantial benefits. After being diagnosed with breast cancer at 47, yoga evolved into a vital aspect of my life, extending beyond its function as a form of exercise. It calms my nervous system and helps me feel grounded on those hard days.

I appreciate that yoga enables us to take time to reconnect with our mind/body, and gain insight into our needs.

There is a kind of peace that only exists because you keep leaving yourself out of it.

Yoga starts to make that harder.

Not all at once.

But slowly, the body begins to recognize what shrinking feels like.

What silence costs.

What “being easy” has been taking from you.

And then the no comes back.

Not as anger.
Not as coldness.

As honesty.
