This is what keeps me going. 💗

One of my incredible patients surprised me with a gift card to get a facial, and over the weekend I finally took a moment for myself. An oxygenating facial later and my face feels like a baby’s skin and I’m feeling like a whole new person.

But here’s what really got me: she recognized that I’m the carer. That what I do is pour into people all day long. And she wanted to make sure I was taking care of myself too.

To every single one of my patients: thank you! Thank you for trusting me with something so personal. Thank you for showing up to your appointments and doing the healing work. And thank you for reminding me that even the “carer” needs a little self-care sometimes.

Self-care isn’t selfish! You cannot pour from an empty cup. You all inspire me every single day. 🧡

Hey everyone, I need to speak from the heart today. As a medical tattoo artist, I’m honored to help people find restoration, healing, and closure after the most traumatic times of their lives. But sharing this vital work is challenging on platforms like Meta.

Despite covering “important” parts to ensure appropriateness, my content is continually flagged for “sexually explicit content” by Meta’s bots, even labeling my website as 🌽 . This means I can’t even share that I have a website! I’ve been forced to delete posts of work I am immensely proud of.

We’ve tried appealing these restrictions and reached out in various ways, but the system continues to categorize this life-transforming medical work as inappropriate. Yet the double standards are glaring. I see inappropriate content all the time on social media, but I can’t share what my clients have courageously experienced.

But I refuse to let these challenges dim the transformative power of what I do. I NEED YOUR HELP!
