I help women ditch the chains of diet culture and step into a mind-body-spirit kind of healthy. For as far back as I can remember, I always felt at war with my body. From chronic ear infections as a toddler to daily migraines as a teen, I always had pesky health problems that doctors merely treated topically or dismissed. And as so many women do, I never felt my body was worthy and always made eff
orts to change it. My daily migraines were really inhibiting my ability to study and show up for my life. I sat in a chair in a doctor’s office and was told to simply take a pill every morning and lay in a dark room with a cool damp towel on my head when I couldn’t bear it. I knew in my bones there had to be another way, so I refused to accept that answer. I studied everything I could get my hands on, I tried removing gluten from my diet, and within three days, my migraines were gone. I switched my major to nutrition and I learned about the healing powers of food. Unfortunately, this desire to heal my health also manifested in an unhealthy obsession with my body. I placed too much emphasis on food as my savior and I got lost in always pursuing perfection. A few years ago, another autoimmune diagnosis turned my world upside down — I gained 50 pounds in two months, I was stuck deep inside a cloud of depression, and I had completely given over to the belief that I was unworthy of my own life. After a lot of healing work, I’ve found freedom and peace. I’ve learned how to pursue health from a place of purpose instead of obsession and I’ve embraced a lifestyle that feels good in every aspect. I’ve found techniques and systems that allow wellness to fuel my life instead of distract from it, and I’ve built a business that works to bring those same healing strategies to other women. I’m a holistic nutritionist and wellness coach. I bring nutrition education, lifestyle management and mindset encouragement together to help women make true and lasting change in how they live in their bodies. I am a gut health and autoimmune expert, but I help all women who have ever felt at war with their bodies learn to live in them intuitively and purposefully. Everything about my business goes against the unrealistic standards of the health industry. Instead of telling women what is wrong with their bodies, I help them celebrate and build up what is good in them. I teach them how to tangibly and practically integrate wellness into every aspect of their lives so that they have the power to show up for themselves.
