🦷 Unexplained Tooth Pain – Not Always a Dental Problem
Not every toothache is caused by a cavity.
Sometimes, the pain you feel in your tooth may actually be coming from somewhere else in your body.
Unexplained tooth pain can be linked to:
• Sinus infections or sinus pressure
• Headaches or migraines
• TMJ (jaw joint) problems
• Teeth grinding or clenching
• Nerve-related pain
• Stress and muscle tension
• In rare cases, other medical conditions
This is known as referred pain — when discomfort is felt in one area, but the source is somewhere else.
For example, sinus pressure or a migraine can create pain that feels exactly like a toothache, especially in the upper teeth.
If your dental check-up is normal but the pain
continues, it’s important to look beyond the teeth and identify the real cause.
Pain is your body’s way of communicating.
Don’t ignore it — get the right diagnosis and the right care. 💙
