Feeling seen and heard really does matter.
Being seen and heard by our doctors. Not gaslit. Not ignored.
Being seen and heard by those closest to us.
Just some understanding. Some close connection.

I've had good labs but felt awful. I've had awful labs, but didn't feel as bad as when my labs were okay. And, everything in between those two. Awful labs and felt awful. It's odd to me that the symptoms don't always follow the lab work. Anyone else have this happen to them?

I want my life's story to be MY story, not a story about lupus. Yes, lupus is a part of my life. Right now it is a big part and I have a lot of limitations because of it. I can't work. I struggle in my own home. But, I don't want that to be my story.
I want my story to be my family, my passions and interests, who I am, not what has happened to me.
I am not lupus. I have lupus, but it is not who I am and I won't let it become who I am.

Lupus Fact, Day 25
Everyone with lupus has different treatment plans. Everyone one is different and responds to medications differently. Lupus is also very different for each person. So, treatments for each person are different. It can take some time to find the right combination of medications that work. And, sometimes a medications effectiveness changes.
