Erigeron strigosus, also known as Fleabane, is currently in full bloom in Oklahoma. This plant has various uses, including treating bronchitis, sore throat, urinary tract infections, uterine bleeding, tumors, diarrhea, fever, and inflammation. However, precautions should be taken during pregnancy and breastfeeding due to potential adverse effects. Individuals with sensitivity to the Asteraceae family may experience allergic reactions. As with any herbal remedy, consult a physician before use, especially if taking prescription medications or blood thinners. Harvest the flowers and leaves during the blooming phase, then dry them using air drying or a dehydrator. Store the dried plant material in an airtight container, such as a glass jar with a tight-fitting lid.

Be aware that wild garlic resembles lily of the valley, a plant that is toxic and not safe for consumption. To harvest responsibly, remove no more than 1/3 to 25% of the plant's material.
