🤧Influenza season is coming soon, and it's almost time to get your children protected against this potentially serious viral infection.

💉 Vaccines (both injection and nasal spray) will be available after Labor Day and can be scheduled now. There may be a theoretical advantage to waiting until October to get your children vaccinated, but making sure they get vaccinated is the priority - both for their health and to protect the household, family, and contacts.

☀️ Summer isn't over yet! You can still protect your child from sunburn.

A few simple reminders:

• Everyone 6+ months or older should apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ sunscreen before heading outside.
• Reapply every 2 hours—and after swimming or sweating.
• Wear hats and sunglasses, and seek shade when possible, especially during the hottest part of the day.

A little sun protection goes a long way toward keeping kids healthy all summer long! 😎

💧 Drink plenty of water throughout the day
🧢 Wear lightweight clothing and a hat when outdoors
🌳 Take breaks in the shade or air conditioning
🕒 Limit outdoor play during the hottest part of the day (typically 10 a.m.–4 p.m.)
