Dr. Karen Hunt, PT, DPT, Cert. DN obtained her Bachelor of Science in Movement and Sports Sciences from Purdue University and earned her doctorate in physical therapy from the George Washington University. She is board-certified and licensed in Florida. Her professional experience is multifaceted, spanning across acute care, emergency care, inpatient rehabilitation, memory care, skilled nursing, a

ssisted living, independent living, and outpatient orthopedic settings. Notably, she served as the Director of Clinical Services at a medical and dental non-profit, broadening her knowledge in primary care, pharmacology, and laboratory value interpretation. Outside of work, she enjoys cheering on the Indianapolis Colts and Purdue Boilermakers, reading, and spending time with her husband and two rescue dogs. The Integrity Story
After working in various healthcare settings, Dr. Karen grew frustrated with insurance-mandated treatment. Insurance companies often dictated how much time she could spend with patients, the duration and frequency of care, and even the types of treatments allowed. As a result, patients often did not receive the one-on-one care they truly needed. She started Integrity Physical Therapy and Wellness to provide optimal, ethical care—the kind she would want for her own family, care delivered with integrity.

As someone who has lived in 6 states, please believe me when I say the water in is sus 😅 It has a noticeable smell and taste 🙅🏻‍♀️ When my first labs here came back positive for , I immediately checked the water in my zip code. Sure enough...🤢

Now? Heavy metal free. Here is what I installed at home:

💧 Reverse osmosis drinking water
》change filters annually
💧 Water softener
》replenish salt when there's 1/3 left
💧 Water purifier
》still change your fridge filter every 6 months

I know this is an investment, but you cook with this water, drink this water, bathe in this water, wash your clothes in this water, etc. It's worthwhile, promise.

Y'all, I've had to replace two HVACs in the last month. One was completely covered in mold, both inside and outside the unit 🤢 Mold exposure throws me into an flare, so preventing this from happening again was a priority. As an Indiana native, I've had to learn a lot about how to survive the humidity. Let me share what I've learned.

🌀 Temps should always be 75° or lower. Keep that in mind when you're on vacay.
🌀 You might get away with changing your filter every other month in another state, but stick with monthly if you're in Florida.
🌀 Don't let your fan constantly circulate. It will worsen humidity and wear out your motor faster.
🌀 You're basically guaranteed to grow mold somewhere in your home if your humidity is constantly over 60%. Keeping the temp under 75° helps, but you may need a dehumidifier.
🌀 The inside of your unit is pitch black with constant condensation. Installing an in-unit UV light helps sanitize and prevent mold growth. The bulbs need to be changed every ~2 years.
🌀And finally, it may be worth investing in maintenance every 6 months (bc Florida), especially if you have an older unit.
