On March 5th, our Metrowest Housing Coalition team attended the MA Coalition for the Homeless' Advocacy Day at the State House. The day began with a conference, followed by meetings with legislative offices for:

Representative Simon Cataldo
Representative Danielle Gregoire
Representative James Arena DeRosa
Representative David Linsky
Senate President Karen Spilka
Senator Becca Rausch
Representative Dan Sena

These conversations provided an opportunity to elevate the urgent housing needs of MetroWest communities and advocate for policies that support housing stability and affordability.

You may have questions about the ongoing government shutdown and what it means for those who rely on SNAP benefits to afford food.

Currently, the Department of Transitional Assistance (DTA) and SNAP are operating normally. DTA is approving and issuing SNAP for applications filed in October, approving and issuing SNAP for Interim Reports and Recertifications, etc.

We’ve put together a summary of what happens to SNAP benefits if the shutdown doesn’t end by October 31st. Please swipe through to learn about what will happen, what you can do to help, and what resources are still available to folks who rely on SNAP benefits.

Why do you ask about my Primary Care Physician?

We believe that integrating physical and emotional/mental health promotes the best possible care. Because of this, our care coordinators will ask if you would like to authorize communication with your P*P so we can inform them about any services you may be connected to.

Speaking with your P*P is an optional component of our care coordination service and is not required to receive our assistance. If you have further questions about this process or how your personal health information is managed, please speak with your care coordinator directly.
