Raising awareness about eating disorders one day at a time.

The Kentucky Eating Disorder Council consists of 18 members. Council members, who are appointed, include state government representatives, physicians, psychologists, and those with lived experience.

* Oversee the development and implementation of eating disorder awareness, education and prevention programs.
* Identify strategies for improving access to adequate diagnosis and treatment services.
* Assist the Cabinet for Health and Family Services in identifying eating disorder research projects.
* Work with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and other appropriate entities to routinely examine existing surveillance systems, data collection systems, and administrative databases to determine the best strategies for implementing evidence-based eating disorder measures that provide data for program and policy planning purposes.
* As reasonably as possible, collaborate and coordinate on data research projects with the Cabinet for Health and Family Services and other appropriate entities.
* Make recommendations regarding legislative and regulatory changes as appropriate.

Don't miss the F.E.A.S.T. & ANAD Pop-Up Christmas Support Group for Caregivers & Siblings

The holiday season can bring unique challenges for families navigating eating disorder recovery. That’s why we’re partnering with ANAD to host a special peer support group on Thursday, December 19th, at 8:00 PM EST / 5:00 PM PST to help you feel supported during this time.

This group is:
✅ Open to all caregivers and siblings (ages 13+)
✅ Led by experienced peer facilitators—a caregiver and a sibling who’ve walked this path
✅ Completely free to attend

Together, we’ll share experiences, offer support, and explore strategies to make the holidays more manageable. 💙
