We’ve traveled all over the nation searching out healing treatment modalities, and have found very few that incorporate sequential modalities with such high-caliber practitioners. Multis are truly a wonderful offering that help get at deep layers of ailment: from anything to body pain, emotional balancing, surgery rehab, and more.

Multi offerings are monthly with 3 practitioners. 90 minutes total of treatment in one treatment room, while you rest on the table.

Happy birthday Mary Frank and Joseph! Born the same day 30 years apart, these two are the absolute best! Yes, they were born on the same day, yes they are the same Meyers Briggs, and yes, they are now related as in-laws through Emaline- but they’d be a pair no matter what! From their kindness, wisdom, humor, open-heartedness, high-level skills as practitioners and good stewards of the Earth and others, they are such a deep foundation to the clinic and beyond.

Joseph and Emaline began The Light Clinic in 2010-returning to their hometown where they were raised, and Mary Frank has been at the core of the clinic as a practitioner and mentor since that time. To 16 clinic years, lots of good life years, and a whole lot more beautiful magic to come! 🎉💕Love these two to the moon and back. Yes I’m biased. Wish them a happy birthday if you see them this week! Meet Laura!

Laura is a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine with a specialty in integrative mental health. She is a seventh-generation Kentuckian who, after many years living in NYC and Portland, OR, is grateful to be back home and working alongside the incredible practitioners at The Light Clinic. Laura uses she or they pronouns.

Wonder how she got to where she is now? Here’s the journey: She attended Columbia University in the City of New York, completing a Bachelors of Arts (BA) in English and Comparative Literature in 2010. She received a Post-Bacc Pre-Med certification from the University of Louisville and went on to earn a Masters of Science in Integrative Mental Health and Doctorate of Naturopathic Medicine from the National University of Natural Medicine in Portland, OR. She has an active license to practice Naturopathic medicine and primary care from the state of Oregon.

In addition to her training as a Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine, Laura has:
•Pilates mat certification at the Kane School in New York in 2011
•Health coaching certification at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in 2013
•training in CranioSacral and Myofascial therapies at the Moving Mountain Institute
•Reiki with Jett Koda in Oregon
•studied Hakomi therapy through the Integrative Mental Health masters program
•was presented the Mind-Body Medicine award by her peers to recognize her work combining mindfulness-based somatic counseling with bodywork to support patients with embodied trauma and dissociation
•training in Clinical Strategies for Neuroinflammation from the Kharrazian Institute
•Naturopathic gastroenterology mentorship under Dr. Sandberg-Lewis
•Two-Eyed Seeing courses on trauma, addiction, and bodywork to incorporate indigenous and Western perspectives with Dr. Lewis Mehl-Madrona
•studied herbalism and shamanism with Dr. Deborah Frances/Beautiful Little Dancing Crow

Yep, we know. She’s amazing.

Look who is packing your tea! 🍵

Jamie is our FHS senior intern and we love having her so much.

And if you haven’t tried the oolong hype- it’s an amazing light tea that is plucked in the spring, perfect for afternoon art and crumpets, morning journaling, and sharing with friends in the backyard with fruit and cake! It’s light and fresh light a green tea, with yummy floral notes, and a little less caffeine than a green tea for those that want to keep it light. It’s packed and on our shelf. This bag is $10 and will last a long time! Whole leafed tea like this just needs a pinch and is good for multiple steepings!
