Huge news for medicinal cannabis users who have avoided getting their medical card certification because of uncertainty about how it affects their 2nd amendment rights. Last week, the Supreme Court ruled in a unanimous 9-0 decision in United States v. Hemani, that citizens cannot lose their constitutional gun rights solely for using cannabis.

Medical cannabis card holders in Kentucky have been previously prohibited from acquiring or buying fi****ms through federally licensed dealers.

Does this ruling change that federal prohibition? nuEra doesn't have that exact answer at this time but we are actively monitoring for updates. Let us know in the comments if you have updated info to share about how this ruling affects gun owners in Kentucky.

Terminal Illness, ALS, Parkinson's, Crohn's, Ulcerative Colitis, Fibromyalgia, Severe Arthritis, Glaucoma, HIV/AIDS, Sickle Cell Anemia, Huntington's, Muscular Dystrophy, Cachexia/Wasting Syndrome, and Neuropathies.

Original qualifying conditions still recognized:
Chronic or Severe Pain, Cancer, Epilepsy/Seizure Disorders, Multiple Sclerosis, Muscle Spasms/Spasticity, Chronic Nausea/Cyclical Vomiting Syndrome, and PTSD.

What to bring: Government-issued VALID photo ID and personal information/medical records supporting your diagnosis with a qualifying condition.
