okay I’m excited and a little nervous, but mostly stoked to have keys to a sweet space in downtown Franklin to curate a comforting, cozy, creative cave for holding the human experience 🕯️🌀✨ (virtual & in person).

also, ive been tasked with writing a bio for this next iteration and writing bios are weird! currently, sitting with a list of words that feel resonant with my approach to psychotherapy and the healing arts. here’s what we’re working with-
regenerative
rhythmic
curious
compassionate
holistic
embodied
empowered
sacred
ritual
relational
emergent
liberatory

in then meantime, pondering some low barrier group gathering options to pause, feel, move, explore, settle, and meditate together; to come home 💫.

Dipping my toes back in, inch by inch, into entrepreneurship, sharing my work publicly, being seen, weaving the threads that have touched me.

And I feel so supported by the people in my life helping me, holding me, celebrating me- thank you!

I’m in a process now of distilling what this chapter of my work looks like- the tributaries of Inner Woven, what Inner Woven represents, what kind of invitation Inner Woven is extending.

And, grounding into the Why, what about this is important, is a touchstone I keep coming back to when the protective parts of me are like “wait you don’t know enough, what if it’s not perfect, what if someone doesn’t like it, what if, what if, what if.”

When I come back to this, I feel my shoulders soften, my center becomes less braced, a sense of “yes, this matters, I can”, a lightness.

It’s a slow, steady process to pause, remember, settle into., and remember that we have inherent dignity, that the things we care about on a deep soul level have dignity, that we can trust ourselves.

So, here are some images, words, and thoughts I’ve gathered lately that are part of distilling what Inner Woven is all about and has to offer in the next chapter of the story.

Shout out to House of Fig, LLC for wasp work last week where the reminder to ground in why was collectively explored, to MG Mitchell for prompting me to gather images and words that represent my work and being patient with the many threads being woven, and for my dear friend Barbara for holding space, believing in me, and mentoring me.

(okay trying not to cry as I wrap this up and feel the support, love, and goodness in my life and how far I’ve come 💗🥹🦋).

Solstice Story Weaving is right around the corner and it’s an incredible, heartfelt opportunity to slow down, rest down, reconnect, ripen, and remember.

Madison (House of Fig) and I met this past week to feel into, brainstorm, and co-create the loose format for Solstice Story Weaving and it has evolved into a truly immersive, multi-modal experience that brings us home to ourselves, one another, nature, and the timeless rhythms that have guided humans for thousands of years.

We talked for a while about an “appropriate” title that would encapsulate the experience, because it’s so much more than writing- it’s about feeling held in our stories, feeling belonging in our stories, feeling that our stories are apart of something so much bigger- an ecosystem of an ecosystem.

And we ultimately landed on- you just have to come and experience it for yourself (credit to Madison for the truth and simplicity of this statement).

If you have joined us for Story Weaving and are willing to share a sentence or two about your experience, send me a message or share it in the comments to help us encapsulate the magic and goodness of what happens when we intentionally gather.

I sat down to write to you all about this upcoming offering.

Per usual, I started to become a little dizzy with what to say, the right thing to say, etc.

So, I stared out the window, my eyes receiving the colors, shapes, movement, beingness of trees, clouds, birdsong, a mountain range.

An anchor back to the here and now, the okayness of the moment, the presence of my heart.

And what I realized is that there is much relief for me in noticing these beings because they bring me closer to something real, something wildly alive, something agendaless, something inherently enough.

In essence, that is what we cultivate in story weaving workshops.

Coming home; moving toward what is real; deepening in our heart; attuning to ancient rhythms.

This upcoming Solstice Story Weaving marks one year since we decided to bring this to the community and it’s been a joy to sit at the turning of the seasons together and ground, explore, feel, express, and integrate as a truly holistic, interconnected way of living and becoming.

This will be our last Story Weaving at a donation-based rate as they have evolved into deeply meaningful, intentional containers that we put a lot of time, planning, and energy into. Also, stay tuned for virtual options to engage in storyweaving with us from the comfort of your home 😁.

Consider this a gentle nudge to join me and my favorite co-facilitator/fern friend House of Fig on 6/21 for Solstice Story Weaving to celebrate the peak illumination of the Sun and its soul enlivening qualities through mindfulness, imagination, connection, journaling, nature, and creativity.

Post grad drip, slowness, savor, celebration.

The narrative, the shape, the habit, the threat response to need to produce, figure it out, achieve, “get it right” has been loud at times since the grad school chapter closed.

But beneath that noise is a deep yearning for curiosity to lead my days, for soul to explore, for my heart to delight in what feels resonant and meaningful; for a slowness and rhythm I had to override one to many times due to the external pressure of grad school and the system it is situated within.

And I am finding, the more I give myself permission to do this, the more the next step reveals itself organically.

It’s been interesting to notice how one book will lead to another, will lead to inspiration and affirmation, to deeper understanding and momentum.

It’s not always an easy and comfortable process; there’s a grappling with the narratives that are outdated and caring for the discomfort instead of berating it.

But then capacity widens and there’s more room for joy, sweetness, connection, trust. Spending a little more time there these days 🦋 and remembering that is it safe enough to slow down, that it is safe enough to go at the pace of trust✨.

Happy to be here, happy you’re here

recent finds 💝

as the end of a chapter approaches I feel all the feels- excitement, fear, anxiety. it’s hard not to be consumed under the heavy cloak of “im bad, i dont know how to do anything” as I come face to face with uncharted territory. but, right now I feel immense hope, strength, and trust due to these little pockets of goodness and the deeply impactful work of somatic experiencing (se) that creates a different way- one that is lighter, rooted, interdependent, and more true to my heart.

stay tuned, se sessions to come ✨

Spring reflections 🌱🌕💜

The planting of seeds so small yet full of potential reminds me of the care and gentleness new life demands.

They grow at my windowsill facing due south with daily water spritzes and admiration, reminding me to offer myself the same care, moments of pause, and kindness.

Care looks like not being harsh and critical toward myself and what’s growing within me, trusting the nudges of my body to rest, go into the woods, and allow things to take time.

The lingering cold mirrors the resistance thats been coming in waves as I consider future endeavors and offerings; invitations to focus on the next one thing and not get swept up in the overwhelm of all that needs to be done and all that can go wrong; cues to be an apprentice of resistance and soften to its needs.

As the first full moon post the vernal equinox arrives (4/1/26), I am intrigued by the astrological significance and cosmic symbolism of the northward movement of the Sun up the axis of the Earth and the axis of my spine and its radiant, illuminating qualities imbuing the soul, matter, elemental intelligence of life and what might be revealed or accessible if I slow down to listen and feel.
