Consider this:

A bowl of white rice is about 40g of carbs. Even two bowls a day is around 80g — still below the 130g minimum recommended amount from the government, and far below the average refined carb intake of 210 g in the U.S.

If it’s in your cultural roots to eat rice daily, you don’t have to abandon your root for Western modern low-carb advice.

Even a bowl of rice for lunch and a bowl for dinner fits way below the official minimum recommended daily allowance from the government.

Just make sure there are protein-rich stir fry in the center of the family tables!
