Despite what you might think, the term "rottin" is less about the art and work of Rottin Ink and more a description of the owner, Chris Morrison.

How old do you have to be to get a tattoo/piercing? We will tattoo a minor as young as 16 and pierce a minor as young as 14 as long as there is a parent/guardian present and both have proper ID. What is your shop minimum? Our shop minimum for tattoos is $40. How much are piercings? All piercings above the waist are $30 each or 2 for $50; all dermal piercings are $40 each.

A lot of Detroiters, especially tattooers, know who Bob Tyrrell is.

He’s one of the first tattooers to achieve high realism black and gray portraits. He didn’t start until he was 34. He was known around the world for his work within a year of starting.

Before that he made countertops.

There are several people that were imperative to my start as a tattooer and Bob is the first. He lived and worked in my Grandmas neighborhood and he was super cool to me the few times I’ve talked to him.

He’s sick and in the hospital. The whole world of tattooing is praying for this guy.

He’s always been real cool to me and many other tattooers. Keep him in your prayers. 🙏

I absolutely LOOOOVE it when people waste my time ( even with a smile). YES most artists charge deposits and I do when I feel its warranted. But, a deposit only covers the bare minimum of the time alloted. It doesnt cover a 2 /3 hr time slot..it doesnt cover arranging your day to make the appt possible period. If ( like me) you do other things with your day, you have to make sure youre " presentable" when you're within inches of a person..sometimes that means breaking from the hot, sweaty, nasty thing youre doing just to shower ...for no reason.

Point is...ALL ARTISTS OF ANY TRADE, that are appt based, very much would appreciate YOU having your s**t together before you even make the appt. Im pretty flexible and this is rarely an issue for me..but it seems when its most likely to be an irritation, it is..lol

All that being said, ALL of us artists very much welcome people who genuinely value their time AND OURS.
