What would it feel like to finally feel aligned?

Not perfect.

Not completely stress-free.

Not like you suddenly have every answer.

But aligned.

Where the person you are on the inside begins to match the life you're creating on the outside.

Where your choices reflect your values.

Where you understand what you need instead of constantly putting yourself last.

Where your mind, body, and spirit aren't constantly pulling you in different directions.

And where you have tools to recognize when you've drifted away from yourself—and know how to begin finding your way back.

For months, we've been creating something at The Healing Storm around this very idea.

A journey built around reflection, learning, exploration, practice, and discovering what alignment means for you.

And we're finally almost ready to share it.

🌿 The wait is almost over.

✨ September 15, 2026.

Save the date. That's when we'll finally reveal what we've been working on—and how you can become part of the journey.

💬 Before we reveal what's coming, tell us:

What would being truly aligned in your life look or feel like to you?

FAQ of Holistic Practitioners 🌿

Our FAQ series is here to help potential, new, and returning clients feel more confident and comfortable with their holistic wellness sessions.

For educational purposes only. Holistic wellness services are intended to complement—not replace—Eastern and Western medicine and should be used as part of your overall wellness journey.

Today's Question:
Is It Okay to Talk During a Massage Session? 💆💬

Absolutely! Your massage session is your time, and there is no rule saying you have to remain completely quiet. Some clients prefer to relax in silence, while others enjoy talking throughout their session. You should also always feel comfortable speaking up about pressure, temperature, positioning, discomfort, or anything else that could make your experience better.

And don't worry about whether you're talking "too much"—if conversation helps you relax, that's okay too! Your therapist will generally follow your lead and allow you to decide how much—or how little—conversation feels right.

💬 Are you a quiet massage person 😌 or a talk-through-the-whole-session person 💬? Tell us in the comments!

When the thunder rolls and chaos begins moving closer, remember that you are capable of standing steady within the storm. Life will bring uncertainty, disappointment, loss, frustration, and circumstances you never asked for. You may not be able to stop the rain or control the winds, but you can learn to steady yourself while they pass.

Storms are not always interruptions to growth; sometimes they are what make growth possible. Seeds need rain before they can break open, take root, and reach toward the light. Your difficult experiences can work the same way. What feels messy, painful, or disruptive today may eventually become wisdom, resilience, creativity, or the foundation for something you have not yet imagined.

You cannot calm every storm around you, but you can practice finding calm within yourself. Ground yourself. Protect what matters. Learn what the experience has come to teach you, and use what remains to create something meaningful.

Every storm eventually shifts. When the clouds begin to clear, take what you have learned and plant again. What once felt like destruction may become the very soil from which your next season grows.

Journaling Questions

What storm am I currently experiencing, and what parts of it are within my control?
What helps me find calm when everything around me feels chaotic?
How has a difficult experience from my past eventually contributed to my growth?
What can I plant, create, or rebuild from what my current challenges are teaching me?

🎨🌿 SELF-CARE SUNDAY: GET CREATIVE 🌿🎨

Sometimes self-care means putting down the to-do list and giving yourself permission to create something just because you enjoy it.

This Self-Care Sunday, start a creative DIY project! You don't have to be an artist, and whatever you make doesn't have to be perfect. The point is to slow down, use your hands, engage your imagination, and spend a little time doing something simply because it brings you joy.

Need some inspiration? You could…

🕯️ Make your own candles.
🌸 Press flowers from your garden or summer adventures.
🎨 Pull out the paints and create something new.
💐 Try your hand at flower arranging.
📸 Turn those summer pictures sitting on your phone into a scrapbook.
🧶 Crochet, knit, sew, or try another craft you've been curious about.
🌿 Create a seasonal wreath or another decoration for the upcoming fall season.
✨ Or finally start that DIY project you've been saying you'll get around to "someday."

Self-care doesn't always have to be quiet or restful. Creating, experimenting, learning, and having fun can be self-care, too. And who knows? You might discover a new hobby along the way.

👇 What's something you'd love to create? Are you already working on a DIY project? Tell us what you're making—or share your favorite creative self-care activity—in the comments!

🌅 A. First thing in the morning when I get out of bed.

Yarrow (Achillea millefolium) may look like an unassuming plant, but its history and traditional herbal uses tell a much bigger story. Sometimes called Soldier’s Herb, Bloodwort, Staunchweed, and Warrior Plant, Yarrow has a long-standing connection with wounds, blood, circulation, digestion, and more.

What makes Yarrow especially fascinating is its seemingly contradictory herbal personality. It is described as cooling yet stimulating, astringent yet relaxing, and traditionally associated with both encouraging circulation and helping staunch excessive bleeding. Its story even reaches into mythology through Achilles and Chiron, giving Yarrow its symbolic connection to the Wounded Warrior and Wounded Healer.

🎧 In our Introduction to Yarrow episode of the Healing Storm Apothecary Podcast, we're exploring Yarrow's history, tastes, herbal actions, affinities, energetics, tissue states, traditional uses, and its deeper psychological and spiritual picture.

⚠️ Educational Use Only: This content is intended for educational purposes only. Herbal practices should complement—not replace—the advice, diagnosis, or treatment of your qualified healthcare provider.

💚 DID YOU KNOW? Trigger points don’t always hurt right away! Some can remain quiet or latent for months—or even years—without causing noticeable discomfort. Changes such as increased stress, an injury, repetitive movement, overuse, or changes in activity can make these areas more noticeable, which is one reason discomfort can sometimes seem to appear “out of nowhere.”

Today's Question:
Should We Take a Break Between Massage Sessions? 💆‍♀️⏳

Sometimes, yes—but it depends on why you're receiving massage and how your body is responding. Massage isn't necessarily about scheduling sessions as frequently as possible. Your body needs time between appointments to respond to the work, and your massage therapist may recommend different intervals based on your goals, progress, activity level, and what you're experiencing.

As your body changes, your massage schedule may change too. You might need sessions closer together during a therapeutic phase, more time between appointments during maintenance, and then temporarily return to more frequent sessions when life, stress, activity, or new tension changes what your body needs. 🔄

💬 How much time do you usually leave between your massage sessions? Tell us in the comments!

Today's Question:
Should I Interact During a Spirit Work Session? 🔮✨

Yes! Spirit work isn't necessarily meant to be a one-sided experience where you simply sit quietly and listen. Depending on the type of session, you may be encouraged to ask questions, respond to information that comes through, share what resonates, request clarification, or talk about what you're experiencing.

Your participation can help create a more meaningful and personalized session. And remember—you are always allowed to ask questions, speak up if something doesn't make sense, or establish boundaries around what you are and aren't comfortable exploring.
