Do you know about Family Connects Frederick County? It's a FREE service available to all Frederick County residents with a newborn which provides an at-home nurse visit when baby is about 3 weeks old.

Completely free, regardless of insurance coverage, this vital service is designed to support birth parents, newborns, and immediate family members with personalized and accessible health and community resources.

We're delighted to be supporting their efforts by leading four 90 minute interactive sessions throughout August and September. The next session is Tuesday August 25, 6-7:30 p.m. at Urbana Regional Library Tickets are going fast! Please share with any expecting parents you know and help us spread the word if you can.

Pregnancy and preparing for early parenthood is a lot of work! Join us for a free workshop where you will learn important skills that will help you feel calm, confident, and connected as you handle one of life’s biggest transitions.
In this 1.5-hour, hands-on, experiential class hosted by Julie Hanson, LCPC, LCMFT and Catherine Easter, LCSW-C of Inner Evolution, you can expect to gain:
Calm: Practice new ways to relax, manage stress, and handle tough emotions so that your mind and body feels balanced and prepared for parenthood.
Confidence: Learn about pregnancy and postpartum mental health, what's normal, what’s not, and when to seek additional support.
Connection: Spend time in class with other expecting parents, make new friends, and learn how to treat yourself with care and kindness to help your family be happy and healthy.
To help us serve as many expectant families as possible, please limit your registration to one support person per pregnant attendee. Thank you for helping us keep these free classes accessible to all.
