My ministry, heart and passion for health and wellness go beyond me speaking to individuals one on one and me hitting record on my podcast... which I love and enjoy so much!

It's also in the kitchen where I strive to create healthy, whole food recipes that are simple, nourishing and delicious. I don't believe we have to sacrifice flavor or spend hours in the kitchen to be healthy.

In Matthew 11:28-30 it says "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”

When we care for our bodies, nourish it, move it and rest it, it pleases God. But healthy living was never designed to be a burden and the "health space" was never supposed to be this noisy.

It is my prayer that my brand Live Healthy With Laura LLC reflects Jesus and also removes the burden of healthy living off your life. Lastly, add the blueberries and mix well (but be extra careful to not smash the berries). Then line a small, square Pyrex dish or pan with parchment paper, add in the mixture and then flatten it out. Place it in the refrigerator for at least two hours and then remove them and place them on a cutting board by carefully lifting the corners of the parchment paper. Then, cut them into 8 bars and individually wrap them and place them back in refrigerator for whenever you get the hankering for one. ENJOY! 🫐

Grill season is officially here! So, why not add a fun, new recipe to the mix to entertain your guests by the pool or for a simple, weeknight dinner as a family? Introducing a new, personal Live Healthy With Laura favorite: a sweet'n tangy marinated chicken recipe with a tropical twist! Enjoy!

Ingredients:

2 cups of pineapple juice
1/2 cup of agave
1 tsp of ground ginger
1/4 tsp of ground black pepper
1/2 tsp of garlic powder
1 lb of cubed chicken
Pineapple chunks
Purple onion
1 red, yellow and green pepper
Wooden Skewers

Directions:

In a medium sized bowl, combine the pineapple juice, agave, ginger, pepper and garlic and give it a whisk. Then, add in the chicken and transfer the chicken and marinated to a BPA free plastic bag and allow it to sit and marinate for a minimum of at least four hours or overnight. Then, once the chicken is fully marinated, chop the veggies then assemble the veggies, pineapple and chicken in no particular order onto wooden skewers and place on the grill for a total of 8-10 minutes each. Then, serve with your favorite sides and enjoy! πŸ˜‹

Sweet and creamy almond butter with a hint of spice as an addition to a crispy, tangy, diced apple? Gimme some of that! Aside from the fact that this fruit dip is beyond yummy, it is also a great way to encourage your kiddos to eat fruit! Whip some up and try it! You and your family will love it!

Ingredients:
Β½ cup of coconut milk yogurt
3 tbsp of almond butter
1 tbsp of honey
Β½ tsp of ground cinnamon
1 pinch or β…› tsp of pink Himalayan salt
ΒΌ tsp of vanilla extract

Directions:
In a small bowl, mix the above ingredients together thoroughly and then serve with fresh, cut fruit of your choice. Enjoy!
