This is a really important look into what's been going on behind the scenes the past couple of years for Penn-Mar and other providers in Maryland. Along with other MD organization representatives, CEO Greg Miller spoke with Maryland Matters about the effect on providers and people with intellectual and developmental disabilities of going without reimbursement for services provided.

Greg shared, “My biggest concern is that although there are promises to fix this in the future, they have set a very, very dangerous precedent and one that cannot be repeated for people who are of vulnerable populations.”

Tony Campisi, chair of the Penn-Mar Legacy Circle Committee, and Legacy Circle Ambassadors Kathleen McMahon and Chris Otto came to this decision for different reasons. Tony wanted his values and support of Penn-Mar’s mission to continue beyond his lifetime. Kathleen and Chris wanted to help ensure that the support their families rely on today will be available to others in the future.

All three chose to include Penn-Mar in their estate plans.
