Hi family, friends, and followers! You may have noticed I've been MIA for a while. I'm here to update you all on the garden, business, and life in general...
During the spring and summer my mind and hands take a break from creating herbal products and switch focus to seeding, cultivating, pruning, and harvesting the herbs that end up in my products. If I were following my business plan, I would already be at the weekly local farmers markets selling fresh & dried herbs, tea blends, and my stock of herbal infused body products. In fact, I was preparing all my displays and signage when my life unexpectedly changed in the matter of seconds.
At the beginning of June I was in a hit-and-run car accident that totaled my vehicle and left me with minor injuries. Recovery has been slow and difficult, and has made it tough for me to hit my business goals. While it has been a terrible experience all around, it has also forced me to slow down and remember what's important in life. Sometimes things just don't go as planned and sometimes we don't meet our goals as quickly as we hoped. Going through all of this while attempting to grow a new small business has taught me alot about being adaptable. As someone who plans meticulously and pays much attention to detail, I am learning to go with the flow.
As I start getting back into the swing of things, I will post more consistent updates because my herbs are begging to be harvested and given a new home. This past week I have been harvesting a lot, and my dehydrator has seen zero rest.
Right now I have plenty of fresh herbs ready to harvest and sell fresh including: Basil (several varieties) Rosemary, Parsley, Oregano, Thyme (several varieties), Mint, Lemon Balm, Lemon Grass, Holy Basil, Sage, Dill, and small amounts of Lavender, Calendula, and Eucalyptus. My fresh herbs are not listed on my website, but feel free to message me if you're interested in any of them 🙂
Thank you for all your support ❤️
