Mary Kay, was a single mom of three...did you know this?! She raised them on her own after her husband left them all.
A beautiful, strong, brilliant woman.
Mary Kay as a young single single mother supported her children with a career in direct sales.
Mary Kay Ash is one of the most widely admired women for her strong faith, a desire to strengthen families and to encourage women to become all God created them to be. Sometimes it's hard to imagine her as a young mother, but she was indeed a single mother and raised her three little children after her husband left the family.
Here's a story she shared at a Sales Director training.
"When my son Ben was a little boy of about six, he was piddling around in his room one morning. I walked in and said, 'Ben, it's time to get ready to go to school, now hurry up!'
He replied, 'Mother, I'm not going to school today.'
When I asked him 'Why?', he said, 'Because it's too long, it's too hard and it's too hot.'
I replied, 'Son, you just described life. Now get on that bus and go to school!"
