Word can’t explain how grateful I am to TeamCrista Foundation!! This is not the first time they have help us with a donation. The first time we found out Marli had cancer they drove all the way from Morton, Tx to Friona, Tx it’s a hour drive and they drove here with out a problem. Prayed for Marli in my living room with my kid and my self. As everyone knows Marli’s Cancer relapsed we found out April 01,2026 we’ve been having problems with Marli’s insurance. With this donation we can possibly pay part of the bills I have been getting for her stays in the hospital. I’m so thankful they reached out to me and helped us with this donation. We love Stable

Today we want to spotlight a very important member of our UMC family, Sable!

Sable is always happy to lend a paw, providing endless cuddles to those in need. Whether it's a nervous child or a parent needing a moment of calm, Sable is there to offer her support.
Since joining our team in 2021, her presence has had a positive impact on the morale of our patients and staff alike. We are incredibly grateful for the warmth and love she brings to our hospital!

Hey Facebook friends and family!! On April 1, 2026, we found out that Marli's cancer relapsed. The worst news we could ever receive. This cancer is not in her brain, as it was the first time. She now has it in her right femur, left femur, pelvis, spine, sternum, bilateral ribs, right humerus, and bilateral scapula. She has very small tumors in these areas they cannot be operated on because they are so small. Her doctor in Lubbock said that the disease is more severe and really hard to fight. Dr. Barr is sending her to Cooks in Fort Worth for a second opinion. Here in Lubbock, they are only offering a 12-month chemotherapy, which they don't generally it will work. We have done some research on a bone marrow transplant that is offered in Dallas/Houston it's a pricey treatment. With this being said, my brother Miguel is raffling tickets for some briskets he will cook. He said the winner can pick up the brisket and choose whatever date you want it cooked. He will cook it. We are also going to raffle some other stuff, but separate from the brisket. If you're wanting a ticket, you can message Miguel Cumpian, Abby Cumpian, Becca Cumpian, or myself we all have tickets. Introducing our incredible Certified Child Life Specialist, Amy Garcia! With over 20 years of experience, Amy is a passionate advocate for children's emotional well-being, helping them develop healthy coping techniques during difficult times.
Currently, Amy serves on the pediatric floor and intensive care unit, where she has the privilege of working with some of the wisest and most amazing kids and families. Her interventions are often based in play, which is the universal language of all children!

Thank you for always being for my Marli

Meet our amazing Child Life Specialist, Hannah Boyd! Working in the Pediatric Oncology Clinic, Hannah helps anxious children feel more at ease and confident during their hospital visits, especially when preparing for medical procedures.

In addition to her work as a Child Life Specialist, Hannah is also the handler for our beloved facility dog, Sable! Sable brings joy and comfort to children and families during their hospital stay. Hannah has witnessed firsthand the powerful connections that children make with Sable and the positive impact she has on their emotional well-being.

We are grateful to have Hannah on our team and are proud of the incredible work she does every day to help children and families cope with the challenges of hospitalization. Thank you, Hannah!

I want to thank Miracle Children's Foundation for sending Marli her first Apple ipad. This ipad is really going to help her with her long clinic visits and hospital stays once again THANK YOU SO MUCH!!! She loved it god bless
