We hear it all the time, “it take’s a village”, but do we ever really stop to think about who it is we’ve chosen to be in that village? You may not think about it, but your primary care provider should be part of that group. Your P*P is meant to cultivate your growth and help you navigate life’s choices. If you feel you are not currently getting this from your provider, we recommend you look around. Interview multiple providers until you feel you have found the one that fits what you need. We would love to be that person for you, but if we aren’t that’s ok too. Regardless of the outcome of your search, we want you to build yourself a strong supportive village.

Fun Fact Friday! The heat and bugs of summer are coming, won’t be long now! We compiled a few common skin conditions ranging from bites to allergic reactions to help you identify what might be bothering your skin. While some, like mosquito bites and heat rashes are benign, tick bites and hives should generally be treated as soon as possible, especially when accompanied by other symptoms. When in doubt, seek help. We are happy to help you identify the cause of your skin ailment and get you the treatment you need.

Ticks are an unfortunate reality of summers in the Northeast. The nasty little buggers are hard to escape if you spend any time outside between now and late fall. Should you find yourself being lunch for an embedded tick or only see the aftermath in the days after as the bull’s eye rash grows, give us a call. Whether you are a practice member or not, we can get you tuned up and back to your outdoor adventures quickly. Plus unlike other walk-in’s, urgent cares, or emergency rooms we offer complete price transparency and no wait times. Please protect yourself from ticks when you’re out enjoying this time of year, but if you fall victim to a bite, call us right away. Don’t let a tick bite fester. We don’t want you to suffer from the flu like syndrome, skin infections, rashes, or joint pain of tick bites. Summer is too short to be miserable from a tick bite.

As you can see, we are a small office putting the personal touch back in healthcare. At its roots, healthcare started as people caring for people and somewhere along the way the business side of that sentiment got too big. We are here to change that.
