I am a Women’s Wellness & Cancer Exercise Specialist who loves to talk about fitting wellness into real life. As a lover of pizza, cabernet, and dessert, (especially white cake with white frosting~make it almond-flavored and look out--’cause I'm definitely going in! ) I frequently go off on tangents, and wants the world to understand that living a healthy lifestyle and real life really can co-exis

Rarely do I leave the house without something sparkly, furry or animal print (sometimes all 3) and my "we both agree that we are never getting married but we are totally committed" emerald ring even if it is just a trip to the grocery store or to roadie for my fav drummer (her "husband-like-person", Joe). WARNING: I laugh all of the time, even when inappropriate, most likely because I am trying not to blurt out an inappropriate joke that popped in my head. I truly believe that everyone should make their Mid-years their BEST years and feel compelled to help those who are often ignored or minimized--especially those who ignore and minimize their own needs.

You’ll love this recipe: it takes less than 20 minutes, uses one pan, and contains 36 grams of protein per serving! 🙌

Here's how to make it:
Simple High-Protein Shrimp Stir Fry
Serves 4

1.5 lbs (680g) large shrimp, peeled and deveined (fresh or thawed from frozen)
2 Tbsp avocado or coconut oil
4 cups (480g) broccoli florets
1 large red bell pepper, sliced
4 garlic cloves, minced
3 Tbsp coconut aminos
1 Tbsp sesame oil
Optional: Fresh grated ginger and red pepper flakes (to taste)

Prep your shrimp: Pat shrimp dry with paper towels. (Important: dry shrimp sear instead of steam, and that makes them more flavorful.)

Sear the shrimp: Heat the avocado or coconut oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat until shimmering. Add shrimp in a single layer, not crowding the pan. Cook 90 seconds per side until pink and just curled. Do not overcook. Remove and set aside.

Cook veggies: In the same pan, add broccoli and garlic and cook 3 minutes, stirring frequently. Add bell pepper and cook another 2 minutes, until tender-crisp.

Finish and serve: Return shrimp to the pan. Drizzle coconut aminos and sesame oil over everything and toss to coat. Cook 30-60 seconds until glossy. Serve over brown rice or cauliflower rice.

Notes: Add 1 tsp fresh grated ginger and a pinch of red pepper flakes for an optional flavor upgrade.

Macros per serving (without rice): 240 calories; 8 grams fat; 10 grams carbs; 36 grams protein

🎂 You have two ages. One is on your birth certificate. The other one? You're living it every day.

The gap between your chronological age and your biological age comes down to your habits:

✅ How you move
✅ How you sleep
✅ What you eat
✅ How you manage stress
