Are you holding your protection jar or are you aiming it? Maybe both?

Some people's magick is to set boundaries, some is to defend them. Occasionally, it's both. In order for spells like witch jars to work, you have to know what approaches to magick you can fully stand in, because when you create them you're entering into a relationship.

A witch jar can be the boundary or the weapon. However you pull those relationships together, whatever the need for the jar, remember they are relationships that must be tended. Even one and done spells are relationships.

Keeping the door open for the dead isn’t always an act of love. Sometimes the kindest deathwork is helping a grieving family let go of a spirit that needs to leave. Unfinished business can be mistaken for devotion. Deathwalking asks us to listen closely, discern what is needed, and do it.

A solitary animist tending a piece of land has different loose ends than a tarot reader with decades of clients.

A devotional practitioner has different relationships to tend than someone who teaches.

A folk practitioner may have lineage considerations that don't belong in someone else's practice.

Someone retiring from professional spiritual work has different questions than someone preparing for death.

That's the point. No Loose Ends isn't a lecture where I tell you what your practice needs to look like after you. Instead, we'll begin building the framework together, then your practices, relationships, traditions, questions, and concerns will shape the conversation.

We'll spend as much of our time as we can on the specifics that arise in the room: the things that are particular to your practice and the relationships you've spent your life tending. I will provide a workbook after you register to jump start your process. Bring your questions. Bring the weird stuff. Bring the thing you aren't sure anyone else would understand.

A good book doesn’t give you a spiritual life. At its best, it helps you see more clearly what you already have to work with.
