Final day of our TacMed class. Students got hit with a final scenario. After that they all received their certificates. This class was a great group of students. We had a total of 7. 2 med students who in the next few weeks will be finishing up and will be doctors. One is going to emergency medicine and the other is going into orthopedics. 2 paramedics, 2 EMTs and a security guard from Riverview hospital who was a police officer before becoming a security guard. We appreciate you all for taking our class and hope you enjoyed it!

Day 3 of TacMed is finished. Today our students got a crash course on basic CQB and Rescue Tasks Force. Students also got introduced to scenarios with patients that had to be treated and moved. Thank you to Grace Way Baptist Church in Rainbow City for allowing us to use your facility today.

Day two of our TacMed class is done. Today’s class started with blast injuries, hazardous materials, less lethal weapons and environmental emergencies. Then the Etowah County Bomb Squad did a lecture on explosives and IED’s then they set off some devices for the class to see. After lunch Dr. Ford did a lecture on K9 care. After k9 care the students spent the rest of the afternoon doing introductions to tactical movements.
