Scheduling Manager
• Coordinate and maintain caregiver schedules to ensure consistent client coverage
• Communicate schedule changes promptly with caregivers and clients
• Manage last-minute coverage needs and problem-solve staffing challenges
• Maintain accurate scheduling records and documentation

Recruiting Manager
• Manage the caregiver hiring process from initial contact through onboarding
• Conduct interviews and support candidate screening and selection
• Maintain ongoing communication with applicants and new hires
• Assist with staffing needs to support office and scheduling operations

Elder Care Tip of the Week: Don’t Skip Daily Skin Checks

Checking the skin daily is important because the skin is the body’s first line of defense against infection, and in older adults it becomes thinner, drier, and more fragile. Small issues like redness, dryness, or minor sores can worsen quickly due to poor circulation, limited mobility, or chronic conditions such as diabetes. What may seem like a minor spot can turn into a painful infection or pressure injury if it goes unnoticed.

Daily skin checks allow caregivers to catch problems early, address discomfort promptly, and prevent complications that could lead to hospitalization, delayed healing, or long-term skin breakdown.

Whenever possible, allow clients/loved one to do tasks with you instead of for them—such as choosing clothes, helping prepare a meal, or participating in light household routines. Even small levels of independence help preserve dignity, confidence, and cognitive engagement.

Why it matters:
Maintaining independence supports emotional well-being and can slow physical and cognitive decline. The goal isn’t speed—it’s empowerment. Gentle guidance and patience make a big difference.

Caregiver reminder:
Offer support, not takeover. Step in when safety is at risk, but encourage choice and participation whenever you can.
