Halloween is a fun time of year, but sometimes seniors may not be able to physically handle the long walks and late nights that come with trick-or-treating. 🎃 That doesn't mean you have to miss out on the holiday fun! There are plenty of ways to enjoy Halloween right from the comfort of home.

Here are a few fun activities to try:

🎬 Watch Halloween Movies
Put on a favorite Halloween classic, grab some cozy blankets and snacks, and enjoy a relaxing movie night with family or friends.

🎃 Decorate Pumpkins
You can paint or carve pumpkins, or get creative with decorations! Try gluing on jewels, beads, ribbons, or other fun materials to create a unique pumpkin.

🍬 Hand Out Candy
Set up a table outside or on the porch, put on some Halloween music, and have family members hang around and enjoy the evening together while handing out candy to trick-or-treaters.

🧁 Make Halloween Treats

Last week, Anette from our Ponte Vedra office celebrated National Dessert Day at Starling at Nocatee Assisted Living & Memory Care alongside Stephanie from Reunion Rehab and Karlee from Trilogy Home Health! Residents enjoyed an interactive caramel apple bar. They dipped fresh apple slices in caramel and added their favorite toppings, like sprinkles and chocolate sauce, to create the perfect sweet treat. 🍎🍫

Fall festivities were in full swing at Al'z Place! 🍁 Penny, with our Gainesville office, hosted a fun-filled celebration featuring jack-o'-lantern ice cream floats and a creative pumpkin craft made from pool noodles and tin cans. From crafting to sweet treats, it was an afternoon full of autumn fun and plenty of smiles. 🎃✨

Swinging into a great day! ⛳ Penny, Karen, and Ashley from our Gainesville office, were proud to host the Oak Hammock Golf Tournament, bringing together community partners for an afternoon of friendly competition and meaningful connections. Creativity with a purpose! Penny and Ashley from our Gainesville office recently hosted a special activity at Magnolia Ridge Rehabilitation Center, where residents created ribbon rings to donate to the memory care unit.

Not only were the colorful ribbon rings fun to make, but they also help encourage mobility, engagement, and physical activity for memory care residents. Many participants enjoyed the activity so much that they made multiple rings! 💜

We're grateful for opportunities like these to bring people together while supporting the well-being of seniors in our community.

This month, we're highlighting Morgan, who has been a valued member of the Concierge Care team for over four years! As our Marketing Operations Manager, Morgan is passionate about supporting the team through data-driven strategies and operational efficiencies. She focuses on analytics, identifying trends, and developing tools and resources that empower our marketing team, strengthen business development efforts, and support the company's continued growth.

Outside of work, Morgan loves spending time with her energetic three-year-old daughter and enjoys relaxing boat days with her family, making the most of Florida's beautiful weather.

Anette, our Ponte Vedra Senior Care Liaison, recently hosted a fun and meaningful craft activity with the residents at Starling at Nocatee Assisted Living & Memory Care. Residents posed for Polaroid photos and then created personalized photo frames to display in the shadow boxes outside their doors.

A special thank you to Karlee with Trilogy Home Health for partnering on this interactive project. Together, they enjoyed an afternoon filled with creativity, conversation, and plenty of smiles!
