Congratulations to the Pickleball Champions!

Residents Jay Hatch, Ron Stevenson, and Rose Veazey represented the Asbury Methodist Village community at this year's four-day Maryland Senior Olympics Pickleball Tournament and brought home some impressive medals!

🥇 Jay Hatch and Ron Stevenson earned Gold in Men's Doubles (85–89 age group).

🥇 Rose Veazey and Ron Stevenson earned Gold in Mixed Doubles (85–89 age group).

🥈 Ron Stevenson also earned Silver in Men's Singles (85–89 age group).

We are incredibly proud of Jay, Ron, and Rose for their outstanding achievements, competitive spirit, and for representing Asbury Methodist Village with excellence. Please join us in congratulating them on their success!

Residents at Asbury Methodist Village took a trip around the world without ever leaving campus!

As part of Wellness Wednesday, the Well-being Team hosted A Century of Cultures, where associates shared foods, traditions, and stories from their home countries.

Residents enjoyed sampling delicious dishes from countries including USA, Canada, Mexico, Ghana, Liberia, Dominican Republic, Jamaica, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Armenia, Italy, Ireland and many more while connecting with friends and learning about different cultures.

Hosted by our wonderful Well-being team member, Mary, the event featured a resident sharing a traditional dance from their country and an Indian prayer. The celebration ended on a high note as associates led a spirited line dance that had everyone smiling, making for a fun and memorable cultural experience!

Thank you to everyone who helped make this celebration of diversity, community, and connection such a wonderful success!

🎉What a wonderful day celebrating two significant milestones at Asbury Methodist Village and expressing our heartfelt gratitude to the associates who make our community such a special place to live and work! 🎉

The associates came together to celebrate Asbury's 100th Anniversary and our recognition as a Great Place to Work for the 9th consecutive year. It was a day filled with fun, food, laughter, and appreciation for the incredible people who make our community so special.

Associates enjoyed a delicious lunch from Mackie's Barbecue, featuring savory chicken, juicy brisket, mac and cheese, baked beans, and cornbread. With the warm weather, Brewster's Ice Cream was the perfect way to cool off!

The fun continued with games and activities including table tennis, foosball, and even a dunk tank that brought plenty of laughs and friendly competition.

Most importantly, the day was an opportunity to celebrate and thank the amazing associates of Asbury Methodist Village. Their dedication, compassion, and hard work help make Asbury Methodist Village not only a great place to work, but also a wonderful place to live.

We are incredibly grateful for each and every associate and are honored that they choose to be part of the Asbury family every day. Thank you for all you do!🎉

Nothing beats some fun in the sun, fresh air, movement, and connection. What a wonderful combination!

Wellness Professional, Mary, recently took the Kindley Assisted Living residents' fitness class outdoors to enjoy the beautiful weather and the scenic surroundings of our campus. Smiles, laughter, and a little sunshine made for the perfect setting to stay active and engaged!

Moments like these are just one example of how we bring well-being to life every day at Asbury.

On this Memorial Day, we pause to honor and remember the brave men and women who sacrificed so much so that we may enjoy the freedoms we have today.

We are deeply grateful to the fallen heroes who gave their lives in selfless service, courage, and dedication to our country. We also honor and remember the families of our fallen heroes and the sacrifices they continue to carry.

This Memorial Day, we remember. We honor. We give thanks. 🇺🇸

Asbury Methodist Village was in excellent form at our Spring Open House, welcoming more than 100 guests for an afternoon of connection and discovery!

With the help of over 35 dedicated resident ambassador volunteers, guests were warmly greeted and given tours of nine available apartments in the Diamond and Wallace buildings. Two resident homes were also graciously opened as “real life” showcases, offering a true glimpse into life at Asbury.

Visitors had the opportunity to learn more about our Wellness Team, explore resident groups and activities. We were also joined by four wonderful vendor partners who shared helpful information on real estate, moving, and downsizing.

A huge thank you to everyone who helped make this event such a success.

💃🏾🕺🏻February’s Wellness Wednesday at Asbury Methodist Village was a joyful celebration of Asbury’s 100-year legacy. Residents celebrated through movement, music, shared memories, and dancing through the decades! 💃🏾🕺🏻

From the Charleston and Swing to the Twist, Disco, the Stroll (yes, the original!), and today’s line dances, residents in their late 70s through 90s filled the room with energy, confidence, and pure joy.

What made the day unforgettable wasn’t just the choreography; it was the connection. Music sparked memories. Movement sparked laughter. Community sparked life.

At Asbury, wellness goes beyond the gym. It’s about honoring stories, celebrating legacy, and creating vibrant experiences that keep the beat going at every age.
