Do you ever feel like your mind won’t stop racing, or you just can’t seem to think clearly?

The Pause Gateway, located at the very top of your spine (in the first two vertebrae), often holds the tension of mental overload, unresolved thoughts, and sleep disturbances.

When I assess the spine for this type of stress, I often notice:

Headaches or migraines

TMJ/jaw tension

Tight neck or forward head posture

Sleep issues or brain fog

Difficulty concentrating or overthinking

I call this the “busy mind, tight neck” loop, and it can be exhausting.

The beautiful thing is—when this area is supported and stress is released, the nervous system naturally shifts from “fight or flight” to a healing state.

That’s when people often feel like they can finally rest, breathe more deeply, or gain a new sense of clarity.

One of the hardest lessons in life is realizing that not everyone is going to understand your choices—and learning to be at peace with that anyway.

When I started this journey it wasn't easy. I lost a long time friend because my passion sounded like mental illness or that I was on drugs to them. All because I was excited and felt empowered for the first time in my life.

You can’t build a life that feels calm and whole if you’re constantly bending, shrinking, or sacrificing yourself just to keep everyone else comfortable. That’s not peace… that’s exhaustion.

My whole adult life I tried to worry about how others felt because I wanted to make everyone happy. Friends, family, work. That made me happy but I neglected my own feelings, which lead to a few autoimmune disorders and years of suffering.

To be honest, I didn't know how to take care of myself and listen to my body the way it needed. I didn't know how important it was to my health.

Setting boundaries isn’t selfish—it’s self-respect. It’s choosing to honor who you are, what you need, and what you deserve.

You’re allowed to say no. You’re allowed to take your own path. You’re allowed to protect your peace without explaining yourself over and over again.

And the beautiful truth is—you can do all of that and still be a kind, loving person.

The people who truly care about you might not understand right away, but they’ll learn. And more importantly… they’ll respect it.

My family thought I was crazy starting a business. A business that nobody had ever heard of and that sounded a bit crazy. I am sure a few thought I'd never make it this far. I had to believe in myself more than anyone else. I had to hold myself accountable on who I wanted to be, and what I wanted to do.

Now my biggest supporters are my family.

Learning to truly love myself and be honest with who I am has improved my health more than any medication or surgery ever could.

True healing begins when you start believing you deserve it. ✨️

It can become so familiar to focus on symptoms and negative thoughts. Over time, that way of thinking can start to feel automatic—almost like your mind is trying to protect you by staying on high alert.

Shifting your attention toward what is working in your body, and allowing even a small positive thought, can feel unfamiliar and sometimes even difficult at first.

That’s completely okay. It’s not a sign you’re doing it wrong—it just means you’re practicing something new.

This is a skill that grows with patience and care.

As you gently bring your awareness back to moments of ease, or even small signs of safety in your body, you begin to create a different kind of internal environment—one that feels a little more supportive, a little more steady.

The more consistently you return to this practice, even imperfectly, the more you help your nervous system experience safety from within.

And when your mind feels safer, your brain can begin to shift its energy away from constant protection—and toward healing.

Be kind with yourself as you do this. There’s no rush. Even the smallest step in this direction matters.

There is a particular kind of tired that sleep doesn't fix.

You rest, you slow down, you take the weekend off — and on Monday morning you wake up feeling exactly the same.

For so many people, this has become so normal that they've stopped questioning it, assuming it's just the pace of modern life or something they need to push through.

But the body was never designed to feel this way, and exhaustion that doesn't lift with rest is one of the clearest signs that something deeper needs attention.

When the nervous system has been running in survival mode for too long, the body loses its ability to truly recover.
